Staybridge Suites Rochester University by IHG

Overall great place to stay! Love the free breakfast everyday of the week, and it was delicious 😋. Plus they gave free dinner and drinks Monday thru Wednesday! It was clean and they allow pets. The atmosphere is great especially right along the river. Most important the staff was friendly and helpful. The only thing I wish is that they had a pool.

Anyone visiting Rochester should stay at this hotel. From the time I walked through the front door I was made to feel very welcome by all the staff. I was lucky enough to arrive on a Wednesday when they have their social evening with a BBQ and a couple of free beers. The manager herself and her assistant made themselves available and welcomed the guests. The hotel itself is kept clean and well maintained. The breakfast was well presented and tasty. There is a plenty of parking out the front of the hotel.

I feel great here. I love the place where I have breakfast.

Nice property in the Genesee River

Our room was on the 1st floor, which is actually the basement. The hallway carpet was dirty and the room smelled damp and dank. In full disclosure, we did not stay.

Shower water pressure

Every time I have stayed here so far, I have really enjoyed it. Staff is friendly and helpful, rooms are clean and comfortable, breakfast is complimentary and hot. You're right on the river which is peaceful. There are happy hour specials, though we haven't been able to partake yet. They also have a small business center, free on-site laundry, a pantry with snacks to purchase, and complimentary water, tea and coffee available in the lobby 24/7. The rooms are stocked with anything you could need for your stay. Location is central to anything you might want to do in Rochester, and not too far from neighboring suburbs. If I could live here, I totally would.

Extremely attentive staff. Every one there deserves a raise! They surely go our of their way to accomodate the guest. The hotel Socials are really a good way to show appreciation to the guests. During the Socials they offered burguers, hot dogs, salad, and free alcoholic drinks. Again the staff were in charged of the Social activity and they did do an excellent job. Loved the cookies by the front desk! At first glance, when we came in to the room everything apperead fine but as we spent more time we noticed a few things that should be corrected. The room did not have fresh clean smell. It's like a musty smell. On the second day we discovered a pair of old socks under the bathroom sink that didn't belong to us. Whoever did the cleaning was not to thorough or was in a hurry, the sink was not a low sink that debris will go unnoticed. The bathroom's faucet sink was loose and swiveled from one side to the other. The entrance door lock needs to be fixed as it doesn't open and close smoothly. We reported all of these to the front desk and hopefully they will take action to fix all these issues.

The staff were all very helpful and accommodating. This is a great hotel if you want close access to the university. It has a nice river view and the pantry with fair-priced snacks and laundry are nice amenities if you have children or are staying for several nights.

It was clean, it was safe, the staff at the front desk, especially, Jesus Santiago, was warm, friendly, and welcoming. The gym was very small and did not offer a lot.

My stay at Staybridge was almost perfect from beginning to end! All of the staff was SO very friendly and helpful! The free appetizers (basically a full meal) and wine was SO yummy and helpful so we didn’t have to go out. The atmosphere was wonderful and I was so delighted to find it was on a river! I didn’t want to leave! Only complaints would be the fold out couch was kind of uncomfortable (even with the two bedspreads laid down under the sheet), and I could hear people through the walls and floors late at night (I was awake, it didn’t wake me). Otherwise it was GREAT! Highly recommend!

The location is ok, the river is pretty cool, and there is halal food across the street that was very good. Front desk staff was very nice and helpful.

All things combined to make this a wonderful stay. Location, view, atmosphere, friendliness of staff, cleanliness, amenities and perks! Meals were fine and bountiful. They even gave treats for our mutt! The spacious suite was very comfortable and quiet. All in all, a great value! Can't eat the fish?
