For such an old property, the hotel was beautifully restored to its old look as well as incorporated a new look. Very helpful and amenable staff. It is so convenient to be very near downtown Roanoke and all the activity there.

Room is clean and the mattress and pillows comfortable. Staff were nice especially the food and beverage manager. Setting is beautiful but it is outrageously expensive. I would not stay here again, the amenities were not worth the price.

Repeat traveler to this hotel. Our kids love the way the hotel feels, like you’ve step back in time. We all enjoy the brunch before we have to get back on the road. The staff is very friendly.

Two staff members at the front desk were extremely friendly and accommodating, allowing is to use the pool both before and after check out. This wasn't advertised, so we were glad we asked. Also we were able to check into our room an hour ahead of time . Our room was beautifully appointed and very quiet, even at night. Very pleased!

Great location across the tracks from a very interesting and friendly shopping and restaurant area nicely put in rooms good good breakfast offerings for the buffet and the Continental breakfast great location and all in all very good
