Atlantic Sands Hotel & Conference Center

You would expect betters for the rental rate. The property needs an overhaul. The place shows it's age and is in need of severe upgrades and renovations. Rooms were equipped with only the bare essentials, and plumbing fixtures were in need of repair/replacement. Noise from surrounding rooms are excessive causing sleep disturbance and feeling of others in the room.

The view was so nice. One of the beds was right on top of the air conditioner. So while the people in that bed froze the ones in the other bed were hot. AC was not working well one night.

Stayed 5 nights… after unpacked tried to take a hot shower. Putting the hot water on fully, no cold, the water temperature was Luke warm at best. When I complained, they sent maintenance.. he continued to say that he thought it was hot. I tried to change rooms and the water temperature was the same. They said it’s usual because so many people shower. But no matter what time of the day I tried, it was only luke warm. Also, the toilet barely flushed. I didn’t complain because I didn’t want to be a pain… (I never write reviews either). Well sure enough, but the third day didn’t flush at all anymore. Housekeeping had to come in and clean up the mess. After they cleaned and fixed, the toilet still badly flushed for the rest of the day. Lastly, I booked a balcony room, and although there was sliding glass doors that opened to the outside, there was a railing of the doors. You couldn’t even step foot outside of the sliding glass door. Got it we hope every single year. For the first time we tried this hotel. I will never stay again nor will I recommend this to anyone I know.

This hotel was such a gem. Perfect location, staff were very friendly and accommodating! The pool was lovely and the on site restaurant was great as well. Will absolutely be staying here again!

Outdated, room had an odor, beds and sheets had sand in them leading to question if they were changed prior to check in.

Clean rooms and helpful staff!

Our stay was fine. Nothing more really. The carpets are dirty throughout the building, the rooftop door was constantly locked, we had no bath towels at 1 point and were given hand towels instead to use. We heard others complain about the lack of towels also. Our room could have been cleaner. The location is amazing though and the pool was nice.

Staff was great. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Wonderful view of the boardwalk and ocean. Very satisfied.

Location is perfect for beach and boardwalk access. Walking distance to shops, beach, boardwalk and restaurants. Pool is perfect for relaxing. Walls are thin could hear a screaming child in next room. Mattresses are uncomfortable. Overall price is reasonable.

Overall, we loved our trip and looking forward to returning :)

These events did not ruin our trip but it caused us to shift what we would do on the trip and ultimately we decided to leave a day early. In speaking to manager, My point was not to sue the hotel or blame them, I expressed that my point was treat customers decently and do right by them. We spent a lot of money there and made the best of the trip, all we were asking is that our last night be refunded since we were leaving as a result of these experiences. Ultimately the manager gave us a discount for our next stay because they said we went through Expedia and refunds were not an option. When I came back with an email from Expedia that a refund was absolutely an option, I was then told that we couldn’t prove anything and therefore no refund would be given. I wasn’t going to argue but when asked if they’d match Expedia prices, I was ghosted. Not sure if we will stay again but it’s not a bad hotel just bad experience.

The hotel is showing its age. Hall carpets were very worn, a bit of paint would make the hallways look a bit fresher. The pool was difficult to use as it was very crowded and no available chairs or chaises. The room we had was excellent and in good shape, only issue is the toilet and sink were very low to the ground and uncomfortable to use. The views are great, the 2 minute walk to the beach was excellent. Lobby coffee and tea was a plus. Overall it's about Location, Location, none better. Quick walk to Rehoboth Ave, the main street. The Restaurants we ate at were all fantastic, interesting and well prepared meals.

Best location in Rehoboth Beach. Right on the boardwalk and also has a pool and restaurant. Walk to a lovely town full of shops and restaurants. Free parking.
