Renaissance Portsmouth-Norfolk Waterfront Hotel

The food from the restaurant was delicious. The room was warm when we arrived but they sent a fan up until the room cooled off. The only complaint was the shower wall had undesirable stuff on shower wall. Also the floor was not clean there were pieces of potato chips under the desk These were things I saw so not sure how well the room was actually clean. Anyone can remake beds and turn glasses over

It was a nice and clean room. The bed and pillows were soft! It's in a great location. I Would stay there again, they also had Fire pits outside to enjoy, and a musician singing in the bar area.

The building itself looks very nice, and it is a great location in Portsmouth. However, my booking was cancelled, and I received no notification. I was told that there was an issue with the credit card that I entered to secure the room on this website.

My family and I love staying at this hotel but over the years, the quality of the property has gone down. Rooms were clean and staff friendly but hotel needs some room and pool upgrades.

I enjoyed my stay at the Renaissance! The architecture of the building was beautiful! There were spectacular waterfront views from every window. The hotel staff was friendly and very accommodating. My room was neat, clean, and comfortable. I would recommend this hotel.

What i didn't like was the upkeep seems to be getting slack, dont get me wrong, coming home I wouldn't stay at any other hotel, housekeeping could be a little more thorough, there was a used plaque pick (teeth) halfway under the bed..

Waited 30 minutes to get checked in and they didn’t have a king room available that I booked. That was a tough start after a long day traveling

The front desks ladies knew nothing about the amenities . I asked if the pool was heated , they said no. They had issues checking us in. It smelled like bad body odor and the rooms smelled horrible. The food was okay.

The hotel is beautiful and you get a water view. The rooms are very clean and decorated beautifully. I will definitely stay at the hotel again when I go back to Portsmouth, Virginia. Very friendly staff and good restaurant. Quality Hotel

My family did not see the menu for breakfast. Are there specials for individuals who are staying there?

Hotel was by the water & ferry. The staff were friendly but there was not enough of them. The computers kept glitching when checking in & out, and only one of the elevators was in use while guests were checking out.

Nice hotel but could use updating. You definitely need shower shoes. Orange rust in the tub. The bathtub needs updating heavy..

Housekeeping never came to clean our room. All weekend the staff gave us the excuse that they were short staffed in response to poor service. The elevators and common areas were outdated and need to be renovated. Front desk never apologized for issues during our stay,
