It was nice but not sure it was worth the money.

The rooms are absurdly small and badly planned. There is almost no usable storage, yet they crammed in a full kitchen, dishwasher, and washer/dryer. The bathroom is worse: cramped, awkward, and equipped with a toilet mounted so high an average adult’s feet practically dangle. The spa is overcrowded and nearly impossible to enjoy. Security guards constantly patrol, watching guests and shushing anyone who utters the faintest whisper. Peace is great. Feeling surveilled by aggressive hall monitors is not relaxing. The design feels bisected, as though two designers competed over the same property without speaking. Some areas look attractive; others are inexplicable. The whitewashed plywood ceilings look especially cheap and hideous for a hotel charging luxury prices. Parking is completely inadequate for the hotel and spa traffic, so good luck finding a space. And Rogue Valley Pinot Noir? We are roughly 20 miles from the Willamette Valley, one of the world’s great Pinot regions. Featuring nearby producers should have been the easiest decision in the building. The coffee from the café is excellent. Credit where it is due. Cascada photographs beautifully, but actual hospitality requires usable rooms, functional bathrooms, adequate parking, coherent design, and a spa where guests can relax without feeling watched.

Spot on; definitely note as someone booking through Expedia the pools are not included. May be better to have it as something to add on like other spots have breakfast? Already booked again. Not sure where other reviews are staying but even the studio is absolutely roomy enough. Love the expansive fridge and other kitchenette features. Knowing it’s sustainably, while beautifully built is icing on the cake. Terra Mae is incredible as well.

Everything was perfect. We loved our stay here!

  • Engine customer Aug 2026

This was a relaxing and rejuvenating stay. Despite the smoke from wildfires, so much of the goodness of Cascada is inside, so I was not impacted by the smokiness, instead was able to enjoy a little bit of everything Cascada has to offer.

Thought and care in every detail. Clean. Friendly and helpful staff. BEWARE! Access to the pool, hot tub, out door fire, “thermal mineral spring”, sauna, steam room and additional pools cost extra. The “unlimited pass” is linked to your stay severely limiting your access or 3hr pass is your other option. Optimizing our time in the pools took away from our overall experience. Also advertised a discount / free group work out class. It was NOT free. In the end spent significantly more than planned and just wanted to get out of there and not given them any more money. Will visit the pools again but will not stay the night.

Wish the restaurant had been open more hours but everything else was immaculate! Can’t wait to stay again

Wonderful stay - we adored the thermal spa!

  • Engine customer Jul 2026

Convenient location in NE quadrant of the city. Facilities were overall very well attended to. Staff was nice. Rooms were very well equipped and stocked with drinks/snacks and a cooktop, dishwasher, fridge and washer/dryer in unit. You definitely need reservations for all services and the restaurant. Good walkable options for eating nearby. Disappointed that there was no take out option at the main restaurant which was very noisy. It was up there in price.

Loved everything!! Especially the springs and Forbidden Fruit cafe. Nothing

  • Engine customer Jul 2026

Room was beautiful, i was in a room with a loft, I was a little disappointed that there was not a bathroom up stairs so you had to walk down stairs to use the restroom and the stairs spiraled so if you drank alcohol is made it difficult to walk down safely

Unique hotel, worth a visit. Restaurant Terrace Mae A+

    Very good

  • Engine customer Jun 2026

it was a nice place. Some of the things were just kinda weird, like the rules around day spa use and such. But all and all, a good spot.

  • Engine customer Jun 2026

Wish they had parking for guests who booked a stay. The available appointments for massages were zero.

The stay was nice, amenities are cool. You still have to pay to get into the thermal springs even if you’re staying but they give a good discount for people who have a room and it’s worth it. Fitness classes are complimentary. The room was pretty small I wasn’t too impressed. It did have a stove top, dishwasher. Washer/dryer all in the room. The worst part is parking. You’re on your own there. You can either get a spot on the side of the street or their small lot that’s usually full for $20 per night. If you pay and leave for a moment to let’s say go eat somewhere you’ll come back hoping there’s a spot left. I’m not sure it’s worth that price per night but it was a pleasant experience.

World class property, high quality construction, great amenities, Spa, and staff. Only one issue, 7:00 a.m. Thursday June 18, morning construction work started on the other side of the loft TV wall while I was still in bed. Not a good wakeup, but was really the only issue during the four night stay.

  • Engine customer Jun 2026

On top of the regular fee to use the pool. (Which we did not!)

  • Engine customer Jun 2026

I can’t recommend this place enough. The only downside is parking, it was difficult to find a spot. We eventually did, but it was stressful for an out of town era who hadn’t been to Portland before. Other than that it was a lovely experience.
