The San Carlos Hotel in New York exceeded our expectations. The location is perfect, the rooms are beautiful and comfortable, and the staff was incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful. Everything was spotless and well maintained. We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back. Highly recommended!

I stayed in the hotel for 5 days with my family and it was a good experience. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The room is big and clean. The location is perfect. Very close to subway and bus stations. Walking distance from the Broadway and Times Square. My room were on the 10 floor snd it was never an issue with elevator. Only problem that the hotel doesn’t have their own parking lot but it is a lot of other parking garages in the area.

Wonderful experience. Just like in the other reviews, the staff was very hospitable. Everyone was very professional, kind and helpful and they make you feel at home. They provide you with 2 water bottles every day even if you still had leftover water bottles :) and even though tap water is safe to drink in NY. You also get a mini fridge, coffee and tea. The gym is not bad. The location is excellent - near subway station, many restaurants and cafes, supermarkets, whatever you need. The building is a bit old and so is the TV, but it's not bad by any means. My only complaint is that some power sockets were loose, and using my universal adapter with them was impossible. The other power sockets are built-in to the lamps, which also restricts travel adapters of some sizes. I didn't complain to the staff about it because I worked around that issue by stabilizing everything with objects, and I'm sure if you experience this you can ask them and they'll fix it in no time. Another thing that could be improved - the corridor for the rooms smelled a bit weird like it needs cleaning or some air purifier.

Excellent and friendly staff. They made for a very good experience. They were very helpful and went out of their way to support and help us, being our first time in NYC. Hotel is out of main crowded and noisy areas, but still walkable to many attractions. The bed and pillows were the best, had great sleep ins. We had a great stay and will surely recommend this place No restaurant within the hotel, but connected to Spice Symphony serving Indian and Indochinese food for lunch and dinner. Other eating places right outside the hotel. They should look at relaxing hotel policy of not allowing check in before 3pm even if rooms are free and available. Same for extended check out as well. Especially when you are traveling from overseas and booked for many nights stay, they should allow early check in and late checkout based on availability. Last thing a tired traveller want is to wait until 3pm check in if they reach the hotel well before that time. Overseas Travellers will appreciate and look to return again .
