Red Roof Inn PLUS+ Pittsburgh East - Monroeville

Did not look as nice as pictures, pretty sure there is a ton of illegal activity happening at this location! Dirty , old, smelly ! Elevators broken. Caution tape across railings on second floor! Stayed on 3rd. Ac unit sounded like a diesel engine with a rod knocking! Mold in bath tub/ shower area. Slept on top of the bed because bedding was sketch! Says it’s a red roof plus. Plus being possible chance of safely making a night there unscathed! 0 - 100 be -50

The room was very clean and the staff was nice. The air conditioner is loud, but we knew that going in from other reviews.

The tub was not draining.

Air conditioner was hard to set and maintain. Musty smell. Beds were great . needs further updates in ceiling area

Room wasn’t clean looking, definitely not well maintained. Security lock was broken second room, ac in the first. Tile all messed up, rooms and hall smelled terrible. Would not again even though the location was good.

Unfortunately, my stay was very disappointing. The room was poorly maintained and made it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. * The toilet flush did not work properly. * The shower made a very loud noise whenever it was used. * The pillows were old, worn out, and uncomfortable. * The air conditioner was extremely noisy and ran throughout the night, making it hard to sleep. * The flooring was in very poor condition, and it was uncomfortable to walk barefoot—I had to wear sandals at all times.

The room was nasty the bed had mold pee blood sheets had dry blood of bathroom molded microwave was dirty and molded then there was ants on the window and very stinky and the staff was very rude

The elevator was out and had obviously been out for some time. Found a half eaten candy bar and medicine cup in room. Part of ceiling was coming down, TV had no channels and the toilet tank exploded off the top of the toilet!

Everything no lock for restroom and lift not working and theres not even water

Plenty of parking, plenty of signs indicating that this is a hotel and displayed the name of it. All of the staff were very very nice. The water pressure and temperature were very good. The bed was nice and big. The tv worked. The air conditioner took a long time to cool down the room and the temperature knob was broken (it spun completely around). The faucet is not attached to the sink so it was a bit troublesome to use but nothing too bad. The lightbulbs are all different colors (yellow, white, bright white) so it was a little hard to see at times without getting a headache. The fridge was kind of more like a freezer, even with the temperature knob on medium/low.

The bathroom was in even worse condition. The toilet flush was not working properly. Cleanliness is a basic expectation for any hotel, and this property failed to meet even the minimum standards. In addition to the poor cleanliness, the room was missing basic amenities that guests normally expect. The overall maintenance and housekeeping standards were far below what is advertised, making the stay extremely frustrating. Overall, it was a terrible experience, and I was very disappointed with the quality of the room and the lack of attention to hygiene and guest comfort. I would not recommend this property unless significant improvements are made to its cleanliness, maintenance, and housekeeping standards.

The room needed to be cleaned better but the stay was good. My tub had mold and behind the fridge had piled up dust I had to clean the room upon arrival. The staff was great.
