My wife and I were on the road and we missed our regular visits to a B&B not far from home. Saint Kate came up on our search offering a trifecta: a genuine art gallery, live music at the bar and weekend brunch. We were not disappointed. The entire hotel experience is about the arts, from the soap in the bathroom shaped like pink erasers we went to school with, to the galleries spanning two floors, to the DJ entertaining us at Saturday morning brunch that was like our B&B experience. WiFi might be underpowered here, but if you're here for work, you're missing the point of the experience. Stow the laptop, put your work phone on mute, and let your hair down and enjoy!

Also, Proof Pizza on the first floor was absolutely delicious - definitely a must-try! We loved everything about our stay and will certainly be returning. Sources

From arrival to departure, we loved everything about Saint Kate Hotel. All of the staff (front desk, housekeeping, restaurant, bar) were friendly and service oriented. We loved our room and it's artsy amenities and the bed was very comfortable. I even bought some of the erasure bars of soap to take home. We enjoyed the restaurant and music and drinks at the bar. I highly recommend the Saint Kate Hotel for a couple who wants to enjoy the artistic environment (including gallery) and wants a friendly and lovely place to stay.

Nice staff. Good location — easy to walk to places to eat and see. Enjoyed looking at all the art and live music in the lobby.

Where we had a big problem was in the restaurant on the second floor. We were there for Sunday morning breakfast. Our waitress poured coffee and took our order and did not come back to our table for 35 minutes. She was serving others in the same room but we could not get her attention. We had to flag someone else down in the interim to get a coffee refill. When the food finally came, delivered by someone other than our waitress, it was completely cold. It is clear that our waitress forgot about us and our food. We had to get manager to have our food re-done, and he did comp the meal for us, which was very nice. But overall, we did not get our food properly served for an hour after we arrived. That obviously spoiled the wonderful experience we were looking forward to.

The property, room, staff and general vibe of the hotel was exceptional. It was walking distance to the Pabst Theater. Very convenient. The complimentary chocolates and champagne were an excellent touch to celebrate my husband’s birthday. It was an enjoyable short overnight trip. The musicians who performed in the lobby were talented also.

The hotel has a lovely art look and feel every where one looks. From a well appointed art gallery off the main lobby to art in the room. Each room has a turntable with vinyl records to play! What a great place! Location is great everything!!

The bed was extremely comfortable The attitude of the person checking me in..... a bit cold, condescending and not friendly.

Love the themed rooms and hotel. Really comfortable rooms (with Victrola record players and record albums!!!). Onsite art museum. Excellent complimentary champagne upon checking in!!! Only disappointment is that the Studio Restaurant has ridiculous open/close hours. Plan accordingly! With that exception, definitely a new and fun place to return to. Btw, Pabst Theater is located within the building. 5 min walk from the lobby!! Super convenient!!

We loved this hotel! Everything one going out of their way to help. Friendly. Clean. Love the coffee and water or each level! Love the live music, good, location. We would choose this hotel again in a heartbeat! Love!!!

The location combined with the quirky charm really left an impression on us. We plan to stay at St. Kate again, and this time we will take advantage of the record library.
