James Hotel - Near Miami Beach Convention Center

I was happy with the Hotel, I read a bunch of bad reviews, but none of those things where things that I encountered. The room was clean, the bed was ok, I slept well, I did not notice any noise except the AC, the room was very cool when I got there, I had to turn it up since it was so cold. The parking was a bonus as it was free. Very basic items but I spent most of my weekend at the convention center for a comic convention.

The beds were good The ambience,it looked a bit run down

The elevator didn't work had to take the stairs

The mattress was terrible!

Great location off the strip and parking is a major plus, very kind and helpful staff

close to south beach itself. Colorful building with character and history. It was very close to the actual beach which was nice. the staff was very nice. Price was fair for length of stay. It was not as clean as I would've liked. The room was kind of dingy, there was no deadbolt for the rooms. The handle to the door seemed like it had alot of play in it, like it had been forced at one point. The beds were not up to the standard of a hotel room. The one bed's box spring was broken and the sheeting on the side of the bed was stained with dirt (at least I hope it was dirt). it just overall felt kind of grimy.

We chose it because of the reasonable price and proximity to the double-decker bus tour starting point. Turns out it was close to everything, including the beach, shops and the bus to/from the airport. Bathroom and bedding were clean. Room had a “handyman” kind of feel. Will stay here again.

Excellent all good all time parking

Location Free parking was advertised, that is why we booked here. Once the reservation was made, the confirmation says they are limited to 20-25 cars and Trucks are not allowed. The A/C didn’t work either.

It was excellent in comparison to others at that price range. It was clean and AC was cold. The best part was that it was a excellent location.

Great location. Easily walkable to shopping, dining, and the Miami Convention Center. The property needs a makeover. Good option for those on a budget.

I enjoyed it. It was a very nice place to stay.

The amenities were not good at all. The ac had a weird smell and bathtub looked unsanitary

Room was clean and the parking was a huge plus, the staff member was very responsive and friendly. The morning coffee also was nice. The location is great , walking distance from most of the places i wanted to go.

The location was the best part, and I think the higher price is justified because of it. The staff was always available at the front desk and very attentive. The room comes with a mini fridge, microwave, and hair dryer. The lobby is also a highlight — very colorful and artistic, and it's clearly the one area they keep clean, maintained, and tidy. •The bathtub would flood every time you took a shower •Mold on the ceiling •Poor quality towels and bedding sheets •The rooms are in dire need of a remodel — it feels like maintenance has never been done. I understand they want to preserve what they have, but it comes across as neglected and poorly kept.
