Hotel Croydon

Location was good, near to beach and public transportation. Reception staff were not helpful and a bit rude. Room had portable air conditioner seems and central airconditioning had broken down. TV remote was not working and window curtains would close completely as we’re getting blocked by AC duct. Food in their Tavern restaurant was excellent.

Plus additional service charge at the restaurant is also too much , we don't have that in PA - why should we have to pay extra for it ?

Excellent staff, all were extremely helpful and very friendly! The property was clean, the bed was comfortable. There is a restaurant attached to the property that was good, and one of the few in that area. The free trolley stops across the street, and it is a short ride into town where there are a lot of places to eat as well as shopping. I would stay there again!

Just unfortunate they do not have laundry service, and that staffs were overwhelmed towards the weekend time frame (which is understandable by the way). Great amenities including swimming pool and roof top balconies.

Property was clean and well kept. Restaurant was amazing, However we were charged great percentage of gratuity on bills without even being informed. Seemed like a ot of nickel and dime. Finding parking was also difficult.

I wanted to review Hotel Croydon 5 star because the Terrace Penthouse Room was WONDERFUL! However, the most significant amenities in a hotel room is hot water in shower and working AC. The water pressure was not full and very cold and took 20 minutes for it to finally get warm/hot. The AC became an issue but the second day (check out day). It was very brutal getting ready and packing things when it was not only hot outside but Inside the room and the whole hallway. They only compensated me a $34 resort fee.... and discount on next stay. The parking is terrible. You have to either pay $50 to park near the hotel or nine dollars to park at their parking garage that is literally 10 minutes away by foot and five minutes away by car. With it being extremely hot already, you do not want to walk 10 minutes in the heat so you get an Uber, which is an additional five to $10. I would stay here again for the room only, loved the spaciousness and massive private terrace.

I was very pleased with my stay.

I checked in and almost immediately realized that the room was nothing like what I expected based on the listing and photos. The room was dirty and dusty, and the worst part was finding multiple long hairs on the bed sheets. The room was also extremely cold, and adjusting the temperature did not fix the issue. On top of that, the elevator was not working properly. The conditions were bad enough that I decided I could not stay there. I left the hotel before the official 4:00 PM check-in time and had to find and pay for another hotel. What made the experience even worse was how the situation was handled afterward. Before leaving, I explained the problems to the front desk and was told to contact Expedia regarding a refund. I was later told through Expedia that the hotel claimed I had been offered another room, which did not happen. I was not offered another room. I was actually told that there were no rooms available. I have photos documenting the condition of the bedding, so this is not simply a complaint about personal preference. After spending considerable time trying to resolve the situation, I was ultimately left paying for a hotel room that I did not stay in because of the conditions I encountered. Based solely on my personal experience, the cleanliness, condition of the property, and handling of my complaint were completely unacceptable. I would not stay here again

From check-in to check-out everything was great! The restaurant also had amazing food, breakfast, lunch and dinner. I will stay here again in the future.

Clean room, friendly staff, good food on property, happy hour was nice!

Staff great,only concern was the room #418 Mattress was very soft you feel like you are in the hole,and ac was built in the window,smelled like mold.
