Firstly this place is not family and kid friendly like it states on their website. It was very filthy when I first got there. I had to go down and ask someone to come get someone to clean the room as there was hair all over the bathroom dust everywhere floors weren’t even vacuumed sheets we’re also dirty and stain and then to top it all off 720 in the morning. I went to have a shower and the showerhead fell off and hit me in the head. I tried to ring downstairs no answer so I went downstairs. No one was there so I called the night manager who was very rude on the phone. Told me that I needed to wait until 10 am for someone got there before I could have my shower offered for me to stay for a later checkout which I did not want it was just the most unpleasant stay ever not to mention someone around the corner from my room was doing illegal substance which we could smell throughout the hallway would not recommend this place to anyone especially if you’ve got young children

All aspects were adequate considering the target market and price point of the accommodation. Friendly, helpful staff anticipate your needs respectfully. The property is time-worn, but the condition is perfectly acceptable for an overnight stay away from home. The linen and towels were clean and fresh, Furnishings showed signs of age and wear, but nothing ripped or broken and all adequate. Tea/coffee facilities, iron, ironing board, luggage stand, mini fridge, huge closet with hangers and extra blanket provided. Tidy bathroom, clean surfaces and good hot water. Reverse cycle heating and cooling and a flat screen TV both with remotes provided. It is budget accommodation but it is very good value. I used to live in this area and know all the good eating spots. The restaurants and pubs nearby (walking distance) all offer excellent fare and are good value. I liked the secure parking area. The hotel is near a tram depot and a railway, but I did not hear any trams or trains at all. The public transport options of both would be a big, big bonus for anyone wanting to get into the CBD (about 7km - 30 minutes by tram) or travel further afield. This is on the right side of the city for access to Melbourne Airport (about 15km away), but you would need to take a taxi or Uber to get there directly. I will stay there again in future. The wearied ambiance lets it down a bit. Some cosmetic attention would lift the feeling significantly.

Fair price More cushions on the bed would have made it easier to sit up in bed as there was no couch in the room, also there was no face washer. Could have done with a place to eat our take away food as the room was small and you would have to eat on the bed. A shared lounge area or outside area would have been nice.

the room was good just need some more pillows please nil

The location of this good budget Hotel is perfect; two team lines and a train station 1 minutes walk away can get you anywhere in the vibrant city. The rooms are functional with crisp clean sheets and firm pillows, just how I like it. The shower fan starts up like an air raid siren and is disturbing and too loud and so I did not enjoy turning on the light in the bathroom at any time.

The bed was really comfortable, and in terms of proximity to good food the hotel was excellent in that regard as well (although travelling alone i had no need for the next-door all-you-can-eat Japanese). It's also really close by to a train station so you have access to that entire network. I stayed in Room 9. No cutlery outside of teaspoons. No microwave. The kettle for the tea/coffee was hidden away and also left with the only sink in the room being in the bathroom. Due to the drain being outward, it made it very difficult to get any decent sized water bottle under the tap. The Wifi was spotty from time-to-time. The worst part was the bathroom as a whole. I advise against going in winter as they have a policy to not get ANY excess steam into the bathroom, otherwise the smoke alarm goes off and you get fined. I didnt have this happen, but the idea that travellers in winter cant enjoy a hot shower fully because of a commitment to aesthetic is quite ridiculous to me. The aircon was also difficult to work, with multiple instances of it just stopping while on, then randomly starting again.
