Design of the hotel and here we can end. I booked this hotel partly because of the hundreds of positive reviews, and after our stay I am sincerely struggling to understand where such high ratings come from. Unfortunately, this was the most disappointing five-star hotel we have ever stayed in. We paid over €1,000 for two nights, including an upgraded Level room with lounge access, and what we received was remarkably basic for both the category and the price. Housekeeping was terrible. Delivery packaging from the previous evening remained in our room for two days, the sink was left uncleaned, and the daily service appeared to consist mainly of replacing towels and making the bed. In most four-star hotels I have stayed in, the room is spotless after housekeeping. The room itself was fairly basic. Lounge access was actively promoted as part of the premium upgrade, for which we paid extra what we found was extremely underwhelming, with much of the food offering appearing to be a continuation of, or leftovers from, breakfast. Hospitality was another major disappointment. With very few exceptions, the service felt cold and transactional. Smiling, warmth and the simple feeling of being welcomed were noticeably absent. With the exception of one lady at the counter and security guard which was always polite and positive the rest of the team felt like someone obliged them to stand there and do the service. The bar service was equally difficult to understand. At approximately midnight, while having drinks, we asked whether we could order some finger food or even a basic snack. The answer was simply no: the kitchen was closed and there was nothing available. Not a sandwich, not a small snack, nothing. And the tone that the person communicated that to my husband, though the other man at the bar was very polite. I have travelled extensively and cannot remember another five-star hotel where a guest can order drinks at midnight but cannot get anything at all to eat.

The room was very spacious with a nice view and the lobby area was very accommodating. The complimentary beverages and snacks in the lobby were refreshing after a long day. Everything was excellent

I’ve stayed at hotels in the Melia chain many times, but this was the first time I’ve been disappointed. On the plus side, the service was very professional and the breakfast was delicious. Unfortunately, the spa area is appalling for a 5-star hotel. I certainly wouldn’t recommend it for a romantic getaway. Children running about and having to wear a swimming cap in the hotel’s jacuzzi really put you off, especially as you have to book an hour-long session in advance via WhatsApp. The hotel’s location is nothing to write home about, and the quality of the en-suite bathrooms, for a 5-star hotel, fell short of expectations. The worst Melia hotel I’ve ever had the misfortune to stay in.

It was a good hotel and everything was fine, not wow I expected more for a 5 star hotel

Location was nice, pretty close to almost everything, the bed was good. Staff was really nice and helpful. It's a safe neighborhood. The building is under some maintenance/repairs, and its not so good looking from the outside, so you do get kind of scared when you get there.

Stayed in one of The Level rooms and enjoyed it, snacks etc if very handy. Chose this hotel as my kids like swimming. Have to book in advance and we did but one day it was fully booked so couldn’t swim.
