The hotel is located in a great, central, safe, and exciting neighborhood. The staff were very accommodating and helpful. They were also bilingual, (Spanish/English) which made things easier for me. Nothing to dislike

Air conditioner wasn’t great even if very small room

One of the receptionist was rude with us

The Leonardo is a great option in Madrid. Fairly priced and in a great location, it is easy to walk to many good restaurants and bars, and is very convenient to the Metro. The room is not huge, but spacious enough for the price you are paying. The bed was comfortable and great water pressure in the shower/bathtub. They also give you comp water. The staff is great and helpful; they arranged an early morning taxi for me, and it was a very simple process. Recommended! The hotel is a bit dated and could use some touch-ups and maintenance. But overall, a great spot.

The location of the hotel is excellent, in Madrid Center, with the San Bernardo metro station very close. This enables easy mobility towards the important city sites, but also towards the University Campus, where my conference was taking place. There were many small shops and eating places nearby, and the Plaza d' Espana is at walking distance. The breakfast was good, as was the wifi connection. The staff was polite and helpful. A minor issue has to do with my room. which did not have a proper working desk. The room was at a corner of the building, so it was not rectangular. There was practically no space to pass between the bed and the desk. which served more as a base for the coffee machine.

Room was pretty small and there was no comfortable chair to sit in.

Great location, lovely room, friendly and helpful staff with a fabulous breakfast buffet Nothing.

Service and utilities vs value for money

I like the location only There is a lot of noise in the room 24h. You hear everyone, who is walking in the corridor, who is living up, your neighbor, sound of elevator... isolation system is very bad. Second day of my stay I put on the floor the towels, one of them they just returned without charging it. They just put instant coffee in the room, which is not good quality. For breakfast, it is mediocre. Especially the coffee machine is generating very bad coffee. I complained abou the coffee machine machine but the staff says only this that they can provide.

Helpful staff with excellent service, clean rooms and comfortable beds, convenient location close to the metro station, great facilities, great performance/price ratio. Only missing point was the room soundproofing but that's ok...

Its close to the metro station Some amenities not provided such as slippers
-
Good location. Boutique hotel with no grills but very clean with good staff
-
Very good location next to subway stop, good breakfast (including decaf coffee), comfortable bed. Big bathroom! The blanket was always tucked under the mattress after daily cleaning and it was annoying to untuck it every evening during our stay
-
Deco slightly dated and could use some 2026-ish update

The room was pleasant and comfortable. Excellent breakfast each morning. Very clean. Quite handy to a major subway station and connecting lines. Close enough to walk to Gran Via area. Some of the furniture was awkwardly placed. Luggage rack for only one suitcase. Desk staff basically ignored us unless asked a direct question.

Staff were friendly, accommodating and helpful, even though there was a language barrier with many of the staff. They answered all of our questions and offerred recommendations for food and travel modes. The room was an adequate size, cleaned daily, with great water pressure and plenty of hot water. My bed was uncomfortable, due to the mattress, but I slept with my head at the foot of the bed and had no other issues. We were in a triple and I did not bring this to the attention of management. The food was a buffett and was well stocked. For $18/night for 3 adults, it was a great deal...plenty of juices, coffee, eggs, bacon, fruit, pastries, ham, cheese, and yogurt. My mattress was worn and I slept with my head at the foot of the bed and that solved the problem. Also, I prefer to have a small washcloth for my shower, but it was not available at the hotel. The hotel has moved to attached, squeezable soap and shampoo. I still prefer bar soap and the squeezable soap at the sink continued to drip after use, but we put a glass under it to catch the soap. Unfortunately, just first world problems that didn't warrant a bad review.
