Icky room. The staff were wonderful but unfortunately that was the only thing good about the place. We won’t be staying here again.

That they didn't make me put a security deposit down, maybe cause there's nothing there to break? Its already broken. The room smelled, bad. Tiny bugs crawling all around in the bathroom and God knows where else. Hair in the towels. Non functional coffee makers (the kind that take pods, yet there were filters in the basket and no coffee). The sign reads Free Wifi, yet the signal was too weak to use. So, I had to use my data which I had to sit by the window for a signal. They did have basic cable Worst of all is the staff. Most hotels are kind and treat guests kindly and with respect, NOT HERE. Lmk if I'm wrong, cuz they sure did but where I come from maids and the front desk staff should be kind ? to guests paying to stay at their hotel. Not come early, pushing them out early cuz your their last room. Come walking by looking in your room as if they expect you to be up to no good. Looking at what you have in your trunk and questioning something as ridiculous as a roll of toilet paper ?, really? If my guest helped themself to a roll of TP, I sure as Hell wouldn't call them out. You don't need a degree to understand that a business figures these little things into what they charge, so, you already pd for it. The best thing is I didn't even take their roll, I just happen to keep one in the trunk. When I called the 2 maids out for harassing me, they literally mouthed off to me as though I'm wrong, then called the Police saying I'm a belligerent guest. The manager didn't want to hear a complaint about his as$%le maids and sided with them ?. I barely waste my time to complain and am one of the most easy going people you'd ever encounter, but this place and this staff definitely ruined my morning and venting in a review is the best way I can feel a little better about this. Take my advice, this place is actually worse than its shitty 4 outta 10 rating. I'd sleep in my car before going back to this dump. And yes, all of the other similar rating/price hotels in Madison ARE BETTER. Don't support people like this.... Stigma is awful.

I never moved into the room. I explained my reasons for canceling and I do not understand why you did not honor the request. Please explain. The room was not adequately cleaned and the environment with people smoking next door was not acceptable. I should have paid better attention to the reviews and I could have avoided this very unpleasant experience.

Our lock was broke, bathroom so small you can't enter or exit without knee checking yourself with the door. Addicts everywhere and drug deals going on throughout the night. Police where there every other morning. The electric wiring is so old you can't cook or doing anything without blowing a breaker. And once requested to have power back on staff argues threatening to kick me out mid winter no refund. Never will I go back and I suggest the same to you reading this. Also some so called "security" don't even where a badge or anything then says they need to come into your room to check it out and most likely try to steal or loot your stuff. All around bad experience. Don't go

They were nice and room was clean.

Worst hotel experience of my life. Incredibly filthy with a stench of smoke that hits you in the face and then lingers well after you’ve left. Latch lock broken off of door. If I wasn’t deliriously tired and in a snow storm I would’ve left.

Absolutely nothing. Horrible place to stay. Everything. Horrible room and area. Horrible place to stay. Room had roaches and bugs, bedding had cigarettes burns, tub was dirty. Random jack holding up the ac unit. The walk up to the room smelled like urine. Felt super unsafe. Looks like people live there and they put us back with all the live in residents. Dogs barking. Literally got there and instantly regretted choosing this place. Got out of there as soon as the sun went up. Did not sleep well since it felt super unsafe. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Ever.

Staff was friendly and very accommodating. Sheets were dirty, bed was caved in on both sides. Internet kept disconnecting. Did not get a good nights sleep at all unfortunately.

yes they put me out in the middle of the night told me I had to leave I went to three rooms before I got a room and his stink really bad they wouldn't give me another room they gave me some air freshener I can bring no TV TV did not work no garbage can

Rude staff and had bedbugs!

That I didnt even get to stay in the room because red roof is teying to rip me off by not letting me stay and charging me the money for the room!!! And the owners knew that the money for the room would come in at some point because they told me that sometimes the payments from theird parites come through the next day and he still wouldnt let me stay even after talkin to customer service like 4 times. Bad business!!!

We were sandwiched in between extended stay people that were loud, hanging out outside their rooms and were very sketchy. I could not walk to my car by myself. The door's lock did not latch. There was a HUGE hole in the wall in bathroom that looked like an entrance for a rat.
