    ### An Exceptional Bed & Breakfast Experience I honestly cannot say enough wonderful things about this inn or the innkeeper. From the moment we checked in, everything was absolutely exceptional. Breakfast was truly farm-to-table and felt like such a special experience. We enjoyed a beautiful watermelon, strawberry, and peach salad with fresh herbs, spectacular zucchini muffins, and a delicious quiche. Fresh orange and cranberry juices were served in charming retro carafes, and the coffee was wonderful. There was also an amazing selection of teas. Everything was brought out piping hot and prepared with obvious care. What really made breakfast memorable, though, was the sense of community. Everyone sat together and ate as a group, which captured exactly what a bed and breakfast should be all about. It was warm, welcoming, and genuinely special. The inn itself was immaculate. Our room had absolutely everything we could have needed, including an abundance of helpful information. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the TV was very easy to use, and the closet was huge. Every detail had clearly been thought through. The innkeeper was wonderful—friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and readily available to answer all of our questions. The level of hospitality truly deserves my highest staff award! We absolutely loved everything about it

Excellent B&B. Great breakfast. Lovely area. Walk around to local stores and restaurants. And beach is nearby.

We have been returning for years for a night or two at a time-Michael is the host and prepares a lovely breakfast-walk to shops and restaurants and less than a mile from the beach!

We had a wonderful stay. Perfect location, great staff, and check-in process, and our room was delightful.

I've stayed at a lot of small inns and B & B's in my life, and the Scranton Seahorse Inn is one of the very best, clean, comfortable, beautifully decorated, and welcoming. Michael, the host, made me feel right at home and did everything possible to make my stay enjoyable. Breakfast was delicious. The inn is conveniently located within walking distance of a couple of very good restaurants and within a very short drive of the beaches and other local attractions, perfect for either a short getaway or a longer vacation.

We stayed with Mike in the dead of winter. Mike was everything from wonderful and accommodating chef (don’t miss the delicious breakfast!) to cleaning service, to handyman. Mike invites you into his establishment as if you were old friends. All rooms were beautiful but not necessarily open for business. Meaning..drew you in. Appeared seasonal and some public areas were under repair. Completely understanding given the sparse clientele and available assistance that time of year.

Our room, #8, is large, clean, has its own private entrance, and a great new shower. This B&B is located in downtown Madison in a walkable area. The house is a large, charming building constructed in 1833. Excellent accomodations.

Michael, the owner and host, is a former culinary student and pastry chef who makes a great breakfast that includes variety of locally sourced egg dishes with light and tasty scones and fresh fruit. He is very knowledgeable about the area and can make excellent recommendations for farmer's markets, antiques, etc., and also sells $10 passes for nearby public beaches. The B&B is very quaint and comfortable - our Garden room was a good size with a newly renovated bathroom - and has nice common areas with coffee, tea, books, DVDs. The B&B is unbelievably close (1 minute walk) to downtown Madison with shops and restaurants and a movie theater. It is also a quick 10 minute drive to the nice beaches and trails at Hammonasset State Park ($15 fee for out of staters). Parking is easy in a reserved area (3 cars seem to fit) next to the B&B or on the street (which is parallel to the main road). Highly recommend the Scranton Seahorse Inn for trips to Madison or nearby CT coast. The price seemed very much in line or somewhat cheaper than comparable places in the area during peak summer season. Only negative was a loose towel hook in the bathroom, which Michael had been meaning to fix. In an ideal world, the outlets in the room would have been a little easier to reach, especially next to the bed.

Beautiful house and grounds, and right in town, so it was easy to walk to local restaurants and shops. N/A

Amazing and too short. Loveliest little B&B with one of the best breakfasts I've ever had. Incredibly clean with updated bathroom(s). So quiet, even though almost full. Will be going back, regularly!

This was a one night stay. The property is an older house in the city center. We were here to help a friend celebrate a birthday. The B&B was very close to the party making it easy to come and go. The room was small but comfortable. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic.
