Hollywood Hotel

Clean and affordable. Outside the hotel not so nice.

Peak summer heat, and no cold air led to poor sleep, in addition to a very hard mattress and mediocre pillows. Would not stay here again.

Very cute hotel! Nicely decorated and clean. Bed was comfy. Staff was great. Stayed here for a concert at the Greek. Would stay here again. My only issue was the shower gel in the shower was empty.

The staff were really friendly and helpful at the front desk Cleaners were slow, mo tea and coffee facilities in the room No restaurant or bar considering the area it was in just an expensive breakfast cafe Nearly 24 dollars for tea, orange juice and 1 crossaint The area is not great and I wouldn't be out after 9, there is very little around and we had to use a bus or tube to go anywhere

We were pleasantly surprised by the Hollywood Hotel! Driving through the area downtown was a little sketchy, but the gated parking lot made it feel quaint and safe. The pool was an oasis with plenty of seating areas. The room was large (ADA room), nicely decorated, and the beds were comfortable. The staff was incredibly helpful and nice. The TV channels were difficult to navigate, but we didn't spend much time in the room to use the TV enough to be bothered by it. The charging ports by the beds did not work, so make sure you check that they're charging before you go to sleep. You do have to pay for the parking, which I didn't see in the Expedia booking process, but it was worth the cost for the safety. Some parts of the hotel are outdated or need updating (charging ports/outlets, ceiling tiles, floorboards), but overall, it was a beautiful property. We will be staying here again anytime we have to visit Children's LA Hospital.

Additionally, the door itself hardly blocks any sound from the hallway, and I was placed right next to the lobby, by the elevator and stairs. I heard so many people enter & loudly speak to one another at 2-4am, and I slept for 2 hours that night. Another thing, parking for 2 days was over $100, and I had no warning until I got up to the front desk that this would be the cost. This hotel wants to squeeze every last bit of cash from you while offering very little in return. On top of the parking, there is a fee simply for being a guest (~$3, but still). I paid for a "breakfast voucher," which is a worthless piece of paper that represents $35 for their breakfast "bistro" downstairs. There is no point to buying. Thai voucher, because if you pay less for breakfast, your money disappears into their wallets, and you get nothing in return. They also still charge you taxes for what you get, so the voucher is just a cheap cash grab, much like the rest of this place. Only go here if you like throwing away your money for very little in return.

Hotel was clean and the reception area was welcoming. The bistro device was very slow. They probably need more staff hired to help.

Absolutely loved the pool area. The staff was lovely!

Convenient location for going to Greek Theater, only 1 night stay but would definitely stay again.

Pool was nice and well maintained. Inner yard with fountain and seatings was nice too. Room was decent, with few ants crawling in the bathroom.

Close to the metro we had a recently renovated room staff were fab Could do with a coffee machine in the room
