It was an easy drive to Morton amphitheater. I appreciated that we didn't have to check out until noon. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

The Good: The pool is big. Fitness room is good. The fire pit is a wonderful addition for a relaxing chat. They have a very limited Starbucks menu in the cafe. Convenient parking. 10 stars to the staff, they were all soooo friendly and happy.

All in all was not very happy with the facilities for the money we paid.

We drove into Kansas City very early in the morning for appointments at KU Medical Center. After a long drive and a stressful day of appointments, we arrived at the Marriott Briarcliff with a sigh of relief. We were completely exhausted and yearned for a much needed respite. The front desk attendant went above and beyond to find us a room that was ready and allowed us to check in a bit early. That small act of kindness meant more than they probably realized! She gave us the chance to finally rest and decompress. There are certainly hotels closer to KU Medical Center, but we continue to choose Briarcliff because of the extraordinary staff, peaceful atmosphere, and quiet luxury we experience every single time we stay. Exceptional hospitality is about more than a beautiful property; it’s how you make people feel when they walk through the door. Briarcliff consistently gets that right! It’s our first and only choice of hotels in Kansa City.

We didn’t partake of the pool or the restaurant. The room was comfortable. Although our refrigerator was frozen over & after breaking off as much ice as we could it didn’t keep our food cold overnight. Staff was kind & helpful. Our room did have some dirty spots that were overlooked by housekeeping. We got a deal on the room…not sure we’d pay the norm for a future stay.

Beautiful hotel on a hill with a view of downtown Kansas City. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast at their restaurant was delicious. Highly recommended!

There was no conditioner and after talking to front desk about it and about housekeeping cleaning the room the next day we were told they would clean and bring conditioner. Coming back to ro the room later that day we had to recall at three and told by the lady they only clean rooms every other day. I told her we had already spoke to front desk and was assured they would clean and put conditioner in room. It felt like a constant battle over nothing that should be part of the basic standard. Next was the third party hotel arrangements from Expedia that I had added a day onto and pre paid for before arriving that had given me two separate reservations that seemed to be a lot and they wanted to charge me again. I had to pull up my receipts to show I paid and she said it was okay because they have my credit card on file from check in. I haven’t looked to see if I was charged again. I left there with frizzy hair and a headache and a car door scratch from someone parking next to us in the extremely tight parking spots and dinging our new car.
