Courtyard by Marriott Jacksonville Beach Oceanfront

Upon arriving at this hotel, I was very impressed and pleased with how well the hotel staff was very friendly, polite and friendly. Upon entering the room, it was just the right temperature. Our ocean view was very pleasant and we found serenity while looking out to the ocean and enjoying the sounds. Guests service was very helpful. The breakfast was just so fulfilling and tasteful. This would be my choice of stay while visiting Jacksonville Beach. Everything about the room was up to par. Love the atmosphere and easy access.

Everyone here was so friendly and helpful. The place was clean and so were the rooms. We had a balcony with an ocean view that was awesome. Kevin at the pool bar was a great guy. We did not have breakfast here because we just walked to Metro Diner, our favorite place. Would definitely recommend and look forward to staying here again. Will be back.

My son and I stayed for two nights. We absolutely loved it! Perfectly situated right on the beach with very easy access to the surf. Beautiful pool and very convenient (and good) restaurant. Not only was the hotel perfect, but the Hotel staff was so very nice, helpful, and polite. Brooke at the front desk, exceptionally helpful and kind. We will definitely be back!

Great hotel on the beach very good staff.

I have been staying at the Marriot Jacksonville Beach many times during the year for over 10 years. This time was a little different. The front desk was hardly ever staffed, which was an odd change. Also, we were charged $150 for a pet fee although our dog is a service dog?? This has never happened before. I will be back, but hopefully these won't be an issue. Other than that, the remodel is beautiful, the pool and tiki bar were a delight, and the room was clean and comfortable. Hope this review helps.

Great stay and perfect view of the ocean in oceanfront rooms. My one critique is that there were not enough hooks to hang wet items, and the balcony door needs a screen so that you can enjoy the sounds of the ocean without letting bugs in. Otherwise would definitely go back.

The only thing I didn’t like, not the hotels fault, was there were too many owners who left there dogs unleashed. I don’t mind dogs on the beach, but one ran up to me and I’m not a dog lover, especially a wet dog, lol. It only happened once and I didn’t let it ruin my trip. I’ll definitely choose this hotel on my next trip to Jax.

We asked for an oceanfront room with balcony on a HIGHER floor with king size bed & couch. We got an oceanfront room with balcony, king size bed & couch on Floor 3. Unfortunately, it was the most undesirable oceanfront room of the hotel since right in front of our balcony was a dirty rooftop with a large, very noisy air conditioner unit for the whole building. It was hot, noisy and not a high since the building was either 6 or 7 floors. Upon seeing the room, we requested a move. The girl at the desk said she would be able to move us once another room opened. We never heard anything more from the hotel on the room the whole week. We checked online and saw that a room with 2 queen beds, oceanfront with balcony, was available. We were not offered that or any other room. We DID NOT use the balcony the entire week; it was really unpleasant and noisy. Also, we did not plan for anyone to clean the room the first morning since we hoped we were moving. On the second morning, we expected a refresh. By the afternoon and nothing had been refreshed. We asked at the front counter and given 2 towels and told we had been scheduled for a refresh but it didn't happen. We really wanted to use a balcony all week and were disappointed since we paid more for this. We have stayed in multiple hotels over the years and felt this hotel didn't try to communicate to us for the room situation at all and should have. For the money, we didn't received what we should have for this vacation.

Great location for Families!

The hotel was right on the beach, so getting to the ocean was very convenient, and overall it was clean and comfortable.

No Complimentary coffee. Staff was very friendly. Our oceanfront room had a beautiful view of the ocean. We still paid full price but didn’t receive what had been advertised and offered.

My wife arrived at the property before I did, and she was charged an additional $300 at check-in, even though we had been told the incidental deposit would only be $50. I immediately went to the front desk to resolve the issue. They acknowledged the mistake and assured me that the extra $250 would be refunded within 5 business days. It has now been more than 5 business days, and I still have not received my money. I have contacted the front desk several times, and every time I am told that a manager will contact me. No one has ever called or emailed me. Mistakes can happen, but the lack of communication and failure to follow through on their promises is unacceptable. I expected much better customer service, especially after paying nearly $400 for a single night. I hope management takes responsibility and resolves this issue as soon as possible.
