Sonesta Simply Suites Hampton

I was leary about my extended stay here at the Sonesta Suites in Hampton after reading the reviews. I have had a few hiccups but the front desk and maintenance took care of my concerns everytime, quickly and efficiently. My traveling partners, which is my daughter and infant granddaughter, are really enjoying our time here and would highly recommend this location to others. I will do a full review with pictures at the end of my stay.

Very nice would stay again ! Little run down in rooms but nothing that would keep me away. Liked how the bedroom was separate, but air didn’t really reach there so was little warm at night.

I had concerns about the cleaning of the room. Our room had old trash in it and it just didn't look as clean as it could have been.

This property is basically clean, although I found a hair on the duvet (not mine). That happens sometimes. The bedding and towels were nearly pristine. The double or queen (don’t recall which one we had) was comfy enough, but it did sag a bit to my husband’s side when he got in. The pillows were comfortable. For breakfast we found a yummy coffee shop with food a 5-minute drive away. They gave us 2 free water bottles when we checked in.

The hotel and rooms were clean. The staff was pleasant. Plenty of parking. The kitchen was clean and stocked with coffee and tea. The grounds were well maintained with different seating areas including a grill overlooking a lake. Downfall of the hotel there isn't an exhaust fan in the bathroom which made the room hot after a hot shower or stinky if someone used the bathroom. The gazebo needs to be cleaned, Cob webs and dead bugs they made it hard to sit and enjoy. Besides that, the rooms, hotel, lobby, gym, laundry room and outdoor grounds were clean and well maintained. A lot of restaurants, bars, supermarket, and shopping 5-7 minutes away.

Staff was outstanding, friendly and helpful at every turn. Our room was not thoroughly cleaned when we checked in. Linens and towels were clean, but floors had not been cleaned or vacuumed. We asked for a broom or vacuum so that we could do the floor, but front desk person insisted on having the entire room cleaned thoroughly while we were out and apologized profusely. When we returned that evening, the room had been very well cleaned and stocked. Problem solved.

My room was very clean. There is a free laundry facility on site. That was perfect. The front staff was very helpful. Everyone that I encountered that worked there had a pleasant attitude. I would stay again.

Checked in at 5:30pm. After traveling 7hrs.walked into the room it was still dirty. It look as though they check someone out and checked us right in. I Had to wait another 30 mins to get a clean room. And that room looked as if house keepers were blind. First and last time for me.

We love staying here every year. Nichole and the staff are always professional and pleasant!! They make us feel at home and go.out of their way to help us!! Our dog loves them too!!

Very happy with facilities clean, nice, pleasant surrounding

I stayed for less than 24 hours, so my review is based on a very short visit. The young woman who checked us in was very friendly and personable, making the check-in process smooth. The hotel grounds were well-maintained and clean, creating a pleasant first impression. However, the lobby had a slight odor, which we initially attributed to the allowed pets, until we entered our room. Upon entering, the room appeared clean and orderly, but I immediately noticed a persistent mildew smell that was quite strong and refused to dissipate. I hope this issue is not present in all the rooms. If it weren't for the unpleasant odor, I would have rated the experience more highly.
