The lifts

The room did not have central air conditioning. Instead, it had a small portable air conditioner with an exhaust hose running out through the window. It was extremely noisy and completely ruined the peaceful atmosphere we were hoping to enjoy in the mountains by the lake. As a result, we barely slept all night. In addition, the duvet covers were made of a rough, wrinkled fabric that was uncomfortable against the skin, making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. Other than the uncomfortable bedding and the noisy air conditioner, everything else about the hotel was beautiful, clean, and cozy.

Novotal chain is always address your expectations of standard hotel room. My first priority is cleanness. It provides basic needs. This one is well located closse to metro and if you walk Alster side the area is so nice or you can take the u bahn for town hall and shopping street. The staff was helpfull and professional.

The hotel was close to metro stations, so any part of the city was accessible. Nothing to add. Everything was great.

There was no refrigerator in the room. I believe a fridge should be provided as a standard facility in a 4-star hotel. Basic amenities such as toothpaste were not available in the room.

• Super Breakfast: Truly the star of the show. The variety and quality were superb. • Prime Location: Very close to the metro station, making city travel effortless. • Excellent Facilities: The gym and sauna are free for guests and well-maintained. • Room & Connectivity: The room was very comfortable, and the free Wi-Fi was fast and reliable. • Convenience: Having secure underground parking was a huge plus. • Eco-Conscious Efforts: I genuinely appreciate the strict no disposable plastic policy. • The "Eco" Double Standard: The hotel heavily pushes a "be responsible and save water" message. However, they do not provide water in the room after cleaning. To make matters worse, there is no water dispenser at breakfast or in common areas where you can easily refill a reusable bottle or bidon. If you want water, you are forced to buy it at the bar for €8. It feels less like "saving the planet" and more like "saving costs while overcharging the guest." It is quite a contradiction to preach sustainability while making it physically difficult to refill a bottle. • Restaurant Value: We had lunch at the restaurant. While the food tasted okay, the Goulash soup was a letdown. The portion was about half of what you’d expect (a standard bulionówka), which felt like poor value for money.

There are two Novctels in Hamburg and we were not warned about this by Booking.com. When we reached Hamburg we realized there is a metro strike. Our hotel was next to a subway station and a subway hub. With Hamburg card we traveled comfortably within the city. Breakfasts were crowed but dinner are quieter. Quality of food was very good and well served. The taxi ride from hotel to train station. Diver was bit rude and did not know the route!

Clean and easy access -

It’s a really good hotel. It’s located just a 1-minute walk from the train station, so it was very convenient for getting anywhere. The room was very comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. We’ll choose this hotel again when we visit Hamburg next time.

The gym was a joke and the TV was not able to stream anything. Quite odd nowadays.

The room was comfy with very nice and comfortable beds and two types of pillows. The bathroom was spacious with Rituals soap, shower gel and shampoo. the hotel has 5 floors, the wellness center is on the 5th floor. The room was very clean. The TV had limited number of channels that are not in German. Twe metro station of U1 and U3 is just infront of the hotel so you can transfer easily. The lights in the room are very bad, so in case you have to do something it's bad lighting. This is considered 4 star hotel, but there is no vanity set in the room, no slippers, no body lotion, no hair conditioner, there is place for the refrigerator, but there is no refrigerator. The breakfast is the same every day: you have scrambled egs, that do not taste like eggs, boiled egs, fried potato, fried bacon, bread, butter, cheeses, hams, salad, yogurt, muesly, cereals. There are no cakes or muffins. the only sweet thing are the pancakes that you can put the jam on. When we walked toward the city Center we passed through not nice area so I would not recommend to walk especially at night. The internet was working and not all the time, so that was frustrating if you have to work.

Comfortable stay. We only spent one night and had a good time. Parking door could open by just pulling hanging rope so didn't feel safe after paying 27 euro for night

The hotel lacked basic amenities, which was disappointing. I was especially surprised that there was no refrigerator in the room. For the price we paid, I expected a higher level of comfort and convenience.
