Motel 6 Greensboro, NC - I-40

Booked a non smoking room for an employee of ours. Upon checking in, the front desk gave him a key to “check out the room”. My employee was HORRIFIED at this room. The one blanket on the bed was covered in cigarette burns, reeked of cigarette smoke, and he didn’t seem to think the floors had been cleaned in quite some time. He tried to see how bad the bathroom would be, but there was no light to illuminate whatever could be hiding in there. Needless to say, my employee returned the key, informed the front desk as to why he couldn’t stay in such filth, and left to find another hotel. The clerk made sure to say our card wouldn’t be charged, so I was relieved. However, I received an alert this evening notifying me that my one night stay at Motel 6, had posted to my account. I attempted to contact this location at the local number Google has for them. Disconnected. So I attempted to contact each Motel 6 in GSO, and the numbers had ALL been disconnected. If I actually knew this town like I know my hometown, I would’ve known to stay far away from this dump. Motel 6 is one of THOSE motels that everyone locally knows to stay away from, unless you want to pay for a step above living on the street. Just saying. There’s no sense in not engaging in normal cleaning practices, no matter the caliber of folks that frequent your establishment.

Expedia says “pets are free,” and although a $10 fee is posted, I was not charged for my dog. Be advised if you are in a back room, the trash truck came to empty the dumpster before 5 AM.

Being Unsatisfied: On from August 7, 2026 I wasn't satisfied at Motel 6 Greensboro NC I 40 at all, because of their unaesthetic design of business.. Despised Things: (1) My motel door wouldn't open normally, but manager was able to open the door for me. (2) the floor was filthy to see. (3) laundry room was extraneous to be in lobby. (4) The cracked floors was not acceptable. (5) The thermostat wasn't fittable for my stay because it wasn't aesthetic. (6) bathroom sink pipe was extraneous to be shown and (7) lastly, cracked walls.

Do not go here.

I originally had a reservation for Thursday Aug. 6 at this hotel. Car trouble in Louisiana and several accidents on I-85 before and in downtown Atlanta resulted in us having to modify our reservation for check-in Friday Aug. 7. We were told by the female receptionist (no name) on duty that Wednesday night that she would modify our reservation accordingly. Once we arrived at your hotel we told that our reservation had been canceled and there were no vacant rooms available. This caused a huge inconvenience for us. I want a FULL REFUND as the receptionist did not do what she told us she would.
