My only disappointment was the lack of early check-in. When I called day before to request it, they said could not guarantee it but it was likely. Regular check-in is at 4, I was hoping for 1:00 and was happy to pay for it. Well at 1 they said it had been cleaned but were waiting for the room inspection. Same exact story at 2, except they said it would be just a few more minutes. Same story at 3. Finally we were able to get in at 3:15... So not major complaint but why I didn't give it 5 stars. I would've done 4.5 but not offered on the survey. Note, the biggest reason we wanted in was to put some milk, that was in a cooler in the car but wasn't very cold anymore, in the refrigerator.

Ery good staff.

We stayed three nights with family. The little ones loved the water splash pad and the outdoor pool. The hotel and the Horizon restaurant were wonderful. The Horizon has one of the best breakfast buffets with pancakes, fruit compote, and shrimp and grits. We also enjoyed the s'mores at the firepit by the restaurant at night.

I booked a water front cottage but there were none left when I arrived at 8:30pm and they did not compensate me for getting a lesser cottage. They ran out of s’more sticks too. I’ve stayed here before and had a great experience except for a missing hair dryer. I’ll try again maybe.

We loved the nightly s’mores!

Great location and design. Very comfortable and relaxing. Had slip draining sink in bathroom but reported it to front desk.

Could use better quality mattresses especially since the claim to be high end

Kicked me out confiscated my belongings. I was staying 2 nights. Don’t stay past Checkout at this place. They will forcibly remove you, even if you’re staying another night

I have wanted to stay here for years and this place did not disappoint. The room was clean & large with a view of Lake Erie. The restaurant had excellent food. The staff was friendly, helpful & professional. The Lodge is beautiful & there are plenty of amenities.

Last summer we really enjoyed the bikes. You could pick your own bike and they were located close to the property. This year they are given to you at the zip line location. My grandsons and we did not like the bikes we were assigned. They seem more focused an the E bikes and scooters. That was sad for us as I said we really enjoyed them in the past. Truthfully it impacted the fun we had and it was not quite as an enjoyable visit.
