The toilet handle required to be held down for 20+ seconds to flush. I left a $200 Sonicare toothbrush in the bathroom after I checked out and called back several times with no response. Finally the Director called me back and suggested I may have actually taken the toothbrush because house keeping did not submit anything to the lost-and-found. Beware of leaving anything valuable behind in this hotel, it will disappear and management will suggest you may have actually taken your item and will not be helpful at all.

I would stay here every time I visit the area. Convenient to everything. You can walk a block to all the 7th Street restaurants and stores. The train station is across the street to quickly and easily get into the city. Garden City is a gorgeous town and the hotel is just as beautiful.

Helpful staff. I got hungry at midnight and staff reopened the gift shop for me to buy a croissant and even warmed it up for me. Great service.

Overall, the facility was beautiful. There were several little things that wrong with the room- one of the lights was out, one outlet didn’t work, the light on the makeup mirror didn’t work, and the screen on the room thermostat didn’t work so you had to guess on the temperature.

Elegant and stately, the hotel was lovely.

The people at this property are amazing. The property is getting a little old. It seems that every time we check in there’s something wrong with the room but otherwise there’s a good experience.

The hotel is very lovely. It has a very impressive and stately entrance with beautiful flowers and an attractive clock. The lobby is beautiful, and the heated pool was delightful. The room was spacious and the temperature control was sensitive and efficient. My only complaint was that there was a strong smell of mildew in the third floor hallway. Fortunately, it did not seep into the room which would have ruined the experience. I found it surprising that a hotel of this caliber would have a noticeable and disagreeable smell in the hallway.
