Garner Hotel Frederick Southeast by IHG

The staff, Andrew, was polite and courteous upon check in. Our room was very clean, but ended up being next to the ice machine and elevator which made for a VERY noisy night. Not sure why a room so close to those types of things is not more sound proof, engineering faux pas for sure! We enjoyed the hot breakfast, but it was missing simple things like pepper for the eggs and even something simple like honey for the coffee and tea that were available from the fancy machine. These wouldn’t deter us from staying again, but could easily be remedied.

Exceptional

Check in went pretty smoothly. Room was clean, just couldn't control the air conditioner. Door in the room was squeaky. Bed was clean.

Laundry was out of service

Staff was great…room was spacious Could use a microwave in room…there was constant noise of slamming doors and loudness in the hall room…the bathroom door in 412 didn’t shut all the way..it needs fixed…had to ask for washcloths and towels so maybe have room prepared a lil more. Would like to have a room with a bathtub as well.

Also, the shower door was incorrectly installed, allowing water to pour onto the floor, and whoever picked out the bedside lights didn’t take into account that a normal person can turn them on or off while in bed. Cute concept; poorly executed.

We had a wedding and stayed here overnight. Although we were not in the room much, the beds were comfy and the room was very clean and bright. Staff was also very helpful.

I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel. When I checked into my room, I noticed ants in several areas, which was both unpleasant and unacceptable. A clean and pest-free room should be a basic expectation for any hotel. What made the situation even worse was the customer service. When I brought the issue to the attention of the front desk, the lady working there was very rude and unprofessional. Instead of trying to help resolve the problem, she seemed annoyed and dismissive of my concerns. Between the ant problem and the poor treatment from staff, my stay was far from enjoyable. I would not recommend this hotel and will not be returning.

It was in a quiet location. Sleeping was sound. Staff at Reception desk not friendly. Pointed out that reservation was made through a 3rd Party. Insisted on a $150.00 deposit for potential damages. That was a 1st. Coffee or Tea only available in the lobby. Ice maker was disgusting. I have pictures

The stay n the location was fine I just didn’t see the 150 extra security deposit for one night stay that threw me off

Ashley at the desk was courteous and professional. She's dedicated to the mission of assuring everything from checking in to check is without incident. A great asset to your brand. The hotel is great and I will definitely stay there whenever I travel to Frederick in the future.
