Spark by Hilton Dayton Fairborn

We booked to stay Thursday through Sunday. We were only given one card key and staff said that’s all they could give out. I later received a text stating I could download the app to open our room if needed. Upon entering our room we found 2 bath, 2 hand towels and 4 washcloths. There was a partial roll of toilet tissue and 1 new roll. We constantly had to run to the front desk for new towels and toilet paper. And we felt stuck having to bring our phone everywhere playing tag team to see where the key would be since we don’t trust an app to get in the room. What a pain. Room 209 window is right next to the on-ramp so every 5-10 minutes it sounds like you’re trying to sleep on a racetrack. The AC unit also kicks on very pound so it was impossible to sleep here. Wouldn’t stay again.

There was a large spider in the bathroom and had been there for awhile because it had molted and there was some other debris on the bathroom floor. Not the dirtiest place by far, but definitely hadn’t been checked for cleanliness before we came.

Our reservation was canceled with out our acknowledge and we had to stay somewhere else bc the property was bought out

The staff was friendly and helpful.

The pool was something I always look for when I book. They had one. It had a film along the top that you could see easily. Nobody ever went it. My son and I had been looking forward to the pool. We weren't going to risk being exposed to whatever that was.

the hot breakfast was a bit misleading. it would be helpful to have a chair in the rooms.

Close proximity to where we needed to be. We are Hilton Honors members, so we gained rewards by staying at a Hilton hotel. Carpet was filthy in room. No free water at check in. Person at check in not very welcoming or informative. No decaf coffee out at breakfast. Beds were not comfortable. Bathroom extremely small compared to other Hamptons we’ve recently stayed at during our trip.

The location was great. Close to food and for the arena as we were attending an event. The beds were comfortable and spacious bathroom. Loved the amenities in the bathroom. Breakfast had good variety each day There was no microwave in the room, which was what I was needing. The door to the room would stick. The elevator is in such a weird space making it difficult to navigate the cart carrying luggage for a family of 4.

Friendly staff. 2nd day breakfast was good. Room was small and smelled like it had just been sprayed with a pest control substance. 1st day breakfast was horrible.
