Ameristar Casino Hotel East Chicago

The room smelled like weed. The hallway smelled like weed and cigarettes. It felt kinda gross being there. The guy at the desk was super nice and helpful though.

Clean room, great staff, good food

Our check-in was smooth. Although we did not get any direction as to where the workout room was or where we can eat or if there was anything we needed. We did see some water bottles that were complementary so we took a couple. The self parking garage was a bit scary. Not very clean and poor signage for the hotel. Our room was very clean as well as the entire hotel. The staff during the morning breakfast was amazing. All in all it was a good experience.

The air conditioner does not get cold it stayed at 72 degree. The mattress was broken and all I smelled was cigarettes and weed. The cleaning lady was very nice

Staff in restaurant and bar not customer service oriented. Not sure if it may be due to being understaffed.

It really doesn’t matter if I was or not to poor which I’m not I make well into a six figure yearly income that kind of behavior coming from hotel staff is not acceptable.

The room was nice and big. The bathroom was nice but should have been cleaned better. Staff were great.

Cigarette smoke from the casino was very strong and it seemed like I smelled it everywhere. Small amount of hair on the bathroom floor. One of our queen beds had a lot of hair under the comforter and in the sheets. Felt like the heat turn on halfway through the night. Room was at 75.

Huge rooms with a cute view. So clean and comfortable, staff was incredibly kind and welcoming despite my late check in time. I will happily be looking to stay here again.

I will not be returning this is my second year going I. August. This time no place to park as a guest to the hotel all the people that was gambling had all the spots, the bed was very hard, had to get maintenance to change battery in thermostat, no ice bucket in the room , and no bags in the trash can in the room

Did not realize people could smoke inside. Otherwise we had a good time.

The staff was nice. The front desk switched rooms because the 1st room was stinky and hot. The second room was half cleaned. Someone left condoms and the trashcans had no bags. I had to request for tissue to wipe after the bathroom.
