The restaurant was closed as there is no chef at this time and staff had no idea when it would reopen. The only place to eat was the little store with coffee, snacks, and a few refrigerated sandwiches, but no breakfast or dinners as per the website. There is also a limited pool-side menu. We had to drive to Serenby to eat, which was quite an inconvenience. Staff were super friendly and did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable. As a make up for not having a restaurant, we were given a complementary golf cart for a day. The room and bathroom were very spacious and clean, but we did not get any room service during our stay. The buildings could really use some paint as the lakeside side of the cottages/hotel has peeling paint and the screened-in porches have lots of broken parts. Overall, we enjoyed the outdoors with hiking and lake activities. However, you can't call something a RESORT without having full service, all the resort amenities, and a restaurant. Also, the website needs to be updated to reflect the current state of the property. Not exactly the pampered weekend we were expecting.

Every thing was excllent

We had such a nice stay and seemed to have the whole place to ourselves. Beautiful views and property!

The villa that my wife and I stayed in was nothing short of magnificent
-
Bathroom door was broken, AC wasn't working properly at night. Both issues were reported 3 times and no one came to fix it. The hot tub was out of service, and the hours for the restaurants food were not good.

The villa we stayed in Beautiful The balcony terrible, patio furniture dirty, bird poo, spider webs all over We did the lake view so we could sit outside, but didn’t get to enjoy Kitchen didn’t have enough silverware or plates to accommodate our party of 3 The fan in the 2nd guest room didn’t work, no one came to fix even after we requested maintenance The pool area was nice, only 1 pool was in service, smaller pool and jacuzzi closed The restaurant and bar hours are terrible We stayed until Monday and there was no food or drinks available after 2pm Sunday The menu was very limited Because you’re not close to any restaurants or stores you can’t just leave to get food Luckily we brought all our food The sad part is when I think of a RESORT I DO NOT WANT TO COOK BREAKFAST, LUNCH, and DINNER each day I’m there This is what we had to do There were no other amenities to enjoy because of no staff VERY DISAPPOINTED

The grounds are incredible. The café is bare bones in the mornings, however the coffee is amazing. The kitchen did a nice job with after hours food. We were there during a wedding so lots of noise. Note, no daily housekeeping. Will stay there again overall, a beautiful location, helpful staff, and lots of amenities to choose from. The room was well equipped, and the bed was very comfortable.

The room was very clean and the bed was amazing

These people don’t know what they are doing. This is not a resort, it’s less than a motel.

Myself and my children most of all my grandkids had a great time. We just went for a long weekend so I could show my grandkids the lake, fishing and boats

Very relaxing, beautiful room, accommodating staff. I will be back.

Very nice

4-wheelers weren't available due to being in maintenance during our stay.

The dish washer didn’t work. I told the staff and it was never fixed nor looked into. I requested housekeeping to come change out the bedding for the second night stay due to having different guest and was told they don’t do that. During check out the manager advised me if the guest requested it should’ve been done. They over charged my card then refunded the overcharge. She offered compensation at a future date we will see. The sliding door lock also was non existent which was also a safety concern due to the patio being so close to the ground.

There are a lot of birds that try to come on the porch. They do their best to keep the birds away. they have spikes at the top to keep them from landing. But the porch and porch furniture had bird poop all over it, so we did not sit out on the porch like we would have wanted to do. They could have at least cleaned the furniture and the porch floor between guests. Just an FYI. The villas are not toddler friendly. The front door opens very easily and there is no option to deadbolt it from the inside. My 1 and a half year old could easily push open the door and run out. And she is not able to open regular doors. This is the only door she has ever been able to open. Also the villas have stairs inside and the bedrooms are upstairs. Just an FYI for those traveling with young kids. Would recommend bringing a baby gate. Would also have liked better breakfast options. There is only a little gift shop market open with only 1 worker. They make breakfast sandwiches. But It took us an hour to get breakfast to go. Was not the workers fault she was working very hard.

I can not say enough terrible things about this resort and their lack of customer service. After a long day of traveling, I arrived at the resort from the airport at 2 a.m., only to find that there was no one available to check me in. I was unable to access my room and the check-in details were unclear and misleading. All that their website check-in information stated was, "Check-in after 4 p.m." The information provided regarding check-in was extremely vague, and I was not made aware that there would be no staff available after a certain time. I attempted to contact the after-hours number listed on a sign at the door multiple times via both calls and text messages but received no response. Furthermore, the sign itself was poorly displayed, with the second contact number partially obstructed, making it impossible to read the last 2 digits of the second contact number. I also left a voicemail on the main resort line, but I never received a return call or any communication from their team regarding the issue. This experience was incredibly frustrating and unprofessional, leaving me without a place to stay for the night in a somewhat rural part of town. I have emailed requesting a refund along with a follow-up email and have not received a response for two days.

We really enjoyed our stay. This is our third time staying at Fox Hall. We celebrated our wedding anniversary. This is our favorite staycation. Thank you Amanda and Niki for such excellent customer service. We appreciate you both. If you are in need of relaxation and self-care, this is the place. We will definitely return.....

The only issue I have is there was no microwave in the rooms and you have to go to the front office and that microwave was really small so if it’s late night you have to get in your vehicle and basically drive up front.

The place for improvement was the lack of staff. We weren't able to do several activities because staff was not available. Also, when I hear the word "resort," I imagine not having to leave the premises unless I want to. Well, we had to leave the premises to go get breakfast (a 25-minute drive) because full breakfast is not available on Friday or Saturday. We also had to order Uber Eats for dinner because the dinner menu was very limited. Also, we had three bedrooms, which do not include a table or chairs to sit and dine, play board games, etc. I would recommend updating the website so guests are fully aware of what to expect upon arrival. Lastly, I would return again, but now I know what to expect. Foxhall has great potential, and I am looking forward to returning in the future.
