    Beautiful!

Conveniently located. Within walking distance of Ford Field and many of the downtown areas. Is more of a boutique hotel but was a good experience.

This is a hard hotel to review because it’s unlike any other hotel I’ve stayed in. The absolute best thing it has going for it is location location location. Easy walk to any sports event or concert, It’s in an old historic building and a true boutique hotel. If you love the feel of an older dimly lit classic hotel this place is a must. If you prefer newer more modern hotels you might hate this place. If you book a small room be ready they are super small. If you book a Parlor room with a king bed or above they more normal sized. There are no refrigerators and if you need ice the ice machine is in the basement. So if you’re on the 12th floor (or any floor for that matter) and want ice for your drinks be prepared for a journey. I hate to even make this place sound bad because again it’s just different and old school in cool way. I think a lot of us are so spoiled with having everything at our fingertips it’s easy to get annoyed at little things that we take for granted. The two bars in the hotel are classics and very cool. Make a reservation if you want to get in because they’re that popular. Staff is amazing, rooms are clean, bathrooms and showers are nice. Just be ready for a different experience and you will love it. Oh and my wife told me to tell you the coffee at the coffee shop in the lobby is horrible and expensive. I had tea and it was great. Me personally I like more modern hotels but a 4 minute walk to Ford Field is well worth it and it’s an experience.

The property has such character and a welcoming atmosphere. We visited for one night's stay to attend a concert at Ford Field. That was amazing to be a close walking distance to the event and to be surrounded by great bars and restaurants in the area made this a great place to stay in the middle of the action. Downtown Detroit has such a great vibe. Definitely give The Siren a try if you are a fan of a boutique hotel experience.

Given the proximity to nightclubs that continue past 2am, it would be more appealing to stay here if they had noon checkout vs 11am (with 4pm check-in vs 3pm, to allow for room cleaning). The room decor is nice but impractical. Style over substance. Can’t tell how clean the hotel is with corridors so dark you couldn’t tell lol.

    was terrific

  • Engine customer Aug 2026

I loved the decor throughout the entire hotel. I loved the bar downstairs. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. For me, the bed wasn't the greatest.

  • Engine customer Aug 2026

Everything was clean and very well appointed. Great for a one night stay as the room was on the smaller side. Good location

  • Engine customer Aug 2026

Love the old school feel to it plus very convenient close to sports stadiums.

  • Engine customer Aug 2026

The staff clearly communicated the hotels free drink policy. However, it is strange to provide one free drink in a room with two guests.

  • Engine customer Aug 2026

The staff was cordial, professional, and helpful. The valet parking uses a terrible app that's confusing and not easy to figure out. Not a deal breaker, but also not a reason to seek the hotel out.

Fun and funky hotel near our destination. Checkin staff seemed a little indifferent but the rest of the time the staff was great, especially Mona at the cafe. The room was good sized, clean and comfortable. One challenge was the bathroom with small sink area and no hooks to hang clothes or towels. Also no safe in our room. A little pricey but it was a weekend with a football and baseball games. Lots of food options and very close to Woodward Ave main drag.

Absolutely amazing stay as always. Only negative was that check in was supposed to be 3pm but our room wasn’t ready until 4:30pm

Room and everyone was good. However we ended up with a parking ticket from the valet I had to spend considerable time resolving. I doubt we will be back again because of this. Very unfortunate because it’s a very cool hotel and enjoyed the stay.

Enjoyed the stay. Great location and great view from the 13th floor. However, the room was not fully cleaned any of our 6 nights there. Room had sticky surfaces and objects that were not ours on the floor from day 1. The bad was made daily and fresh towels were also provided daily. The furniture was adequate but not as unique as in the pictures, more Ikea than vintage. Bed was very comfortable. Cocktail bar downstairs was a cool spot

I wanted to like this hotel very much: some of the staff were wonderful, the location was convenient to many things, and the cocktail bar was very cool. But the rooms are terribly loud. All of the street noise makes its way into the rooms, as it's a stand-alone high-rise with no neighboring buildings to buffer the sound. The front desk's response when I asked if there was anything to do about the noise? "Wait until 2 AM when everything would become quiet." And the rooms are shockingly inconvenient. One perfunctory hook on the bedroom wall for clothing. Three drawers that are already full of an iron, ironing board, and safe. A hook in the bathroom that holds bathrobes. That's a nice touch, but if you tried to take a shower, those bathrobes would be soaked. So you could move them to the aforementioned perfunctory hook in the bedroom, hang them on the door, or ... well, I don't know what else. I guess you're supposed to put your suitcase on the floor, unzip it, and --- voila! --- that's it. I've had more space and more conveniences while surfing on friend's couches. Find a place that's less cool but more convenient to sleep. And then visit the cocktail bar here.

Hotel was in such a great location. Surrounded by multiple restaurants and bars and an easy walk to all sports arenas/fields. Our room was clean. Staff were friendly. Cafe made a great iced chai latte.

Convenient location, very friendly staff, cozy rooms, fun atmosphere! There was so much attention to detail. The Siren has a young hip vibe! There was no mini fridge in the room. That was disappointing. From inside the room with the door closed you could hear toilets flushing, elevator noise and everything said in the hallways. None of this is enough to keep me from staying here again, overall loved The Siren!

A Stunning 1920s Escape in the Heart of Detroit! If you want to step inside a time machine and experience the pure glamour of 100 years ago, you must stay at The Siren Hotel. Located in the historic Wurlitzer Building, this boutique hotel is a masterpiece of retro design and nostalgia. From the moment you walk into the lobby, the vintage antiques, terrazzo floors, and velvet curtains make you feel like you have stepped right into the Roaring Twenties. The attention to detail is incredible. The rooms are designed like cozy historic "jewel boxes" with mid-century furniture and beautiful custom-tiled bathrooms. The absolute highlight of the trip was visiting Candy Bar, the hotel's hidden cocktail lounge. The entire room is draped in floor-to-ceiling pink velvet and lit by a massive, breathtaking Murano glass chandelier. The drinks are just as magical as the decor—they taste like high-end, sophisticated twists on childhood candy flavors.Because it is a true historic property, the rooms are a bit smaller but the incredible atmosphere and unique soul of the place make it entirely worth it. It is hands-down the coolest, most stylish hotel in Detroit!
