We loved our stay!

The room was clean, comfortable and plenty of room. The staff was so helpful from the money we checked in. We were traveling with our boat that we needed to charge batteries for. I asked at check in where the best place to do this would be. The staff was unsure, but their answer was perfect. “I’m not sure, but I will find out”. They told me they would call my cell phone when they did. But when we pulled up to where we were staying, a young man from the front desk met us there and showed us where to plug our extension cord into. He eve brought his cell phone and charger to check the outlet. Service with a smile and going the extra mile!

Staff was amazing Lake view was great Location to my event was perfect Amenities were really fun with many options. That it’s booked up for prime dates due to rebooking

Food in Rubys was excellent. Didn’t like not seeing a print out of the meal receipt at the table though. Sure enough when I checked there were two charges applied that we didn’t order. When I asked about it the next day it was corrected. Thank you. Great little shops with wonderful items to buy.

It was a disappointing stay. Checking in time was 5 pm, 2-3 hours later than I have seen at other places. I was given an accessible room despite I didn’t request one. The room (105) was in such an inner corner of the building it had no sunrise coming in, when looking outside all one sees was an electrical maintenance metal boxes or something with danger sign. Bed was dated. Air conditioning was an older louder unit. Tv was old. Tv remote didn’t have a sleep timer. Short after 10 pm, I asked for a bottle of water from the front desk, was advised to drink tap water. The carpeted hallway from the front desk to room 105 had a strong unpleasant odor. The experience received was far, far below what one would get at another hotel or resort. Had a better experience with restaurant staff when a dear friend’s birthday was celebrated, however overall experience was beyond disappointing. I don’t write reviews often. Felt obliged to give this feedback to the management and potential guests planning to stay at Rutgers. Even my friends who I was visiting to celebrate his birthday was shocked and deeply disappointed with whole experience when he saw the room 105.

Fun music & dinner on the deck

Very well maintained lodge with friendly staff. The property is blessed by 100 year old maples that cover the area in shade. Very nice in the hot summer days.

We only st as yes for 1 night but definitely plan on a return visit! Our room was clean with ac and fridge and area overall was quiet even for a Saturday. We enjoyed sitting on the patio watching the lake views. All of the staff we encountered were friendly, helpful, and made our stay enjoyable! Food in the restaurants were great! I would recommend making a reservation at the restaurants as they were busy!

Seems ridiculous to charge a full day but not allow check in until 5 pm.

We have been going there for over 20 years and we love it! Prices are getting a little crazy and no more freebies, but I guess that’s the cost of having new owners!
-
Restaurant was a disappointment. over salty almost Sysco maybe it was. Used up Not fun to look at dirty upholstery while eating. Food was very mediocre. Thought you'd have a chef. Was very early in season so too quiet overall

Cute, clean, beautiful little cabins!

This resort is great, clean rooms, friendly staff and a great area. Loved the coffee shop and shops on site! The pool was really fun too! Totally will be bringing the family again!

Our family of 18 gathered this last weekend! Something for everyone- the kids loved it!

There were plenty of things to do offered over the weekend. The seafood boil was delicious. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We did not swim but some of the others staying said how much fun the water activities and toys were fun.

The staff was excellent. They were very helpful and courteous. The property needs a lot of maintenance and updating.
-
The bathroom is tiny- just so out of date. It took 30 minutes to get a drink refill while eating. For 237.00 a night I would rather drive to a different city near by and eat in the restaurants in that city. We really had a bad experience. This resort needs millions spent in it to bring it back to vitality. I will not be back

The place is nasty , dusty, I slept in the couch, I woke up with severe skin rashes, I though my unit will have kitchen, no kitchen, when I asked they said their all taken, while you can clearly see vacant units. We have only one chance to order from the restaurant, the restaurant prices are astronomical. The only good thing is the landscape. Never ever go back there again.

We had our baseball team stay there and we absolutely loved all the amenities

We loved the view on the screened porch The toilet seemed old in our room.
