English Inn of Charlottesville

It was amazing checking was at 4:00 and I was trying to get in early cuz of traveling even though the room wasn't ready they let me get into the pool while I was in the pool really eventually got a room eady which was excellent I didn't even know it was raining

A great place to stay!!!

I booked this hotel for my English husband. It was clean and had a nice aesthetic, however no black tea was offered in the lobby. The only English thing was the red box in lobby. The breakfast was pretty good too.

Great place to stay.

Room was clean and comfortable. Bed mattress a little too soft for my taste but I get that a lot. Desk chair in room I asked to be replaced because the faux-leather cover was worn and cracked behind acceptable. It was done so immediately. All-in-all, great value for money and it is our go-to in Charlottesville,

The hotel was close enough to everything. The room was nice and clean with a mini kitchen for the room we stayed in. The breakfast hall was clean and they had good food options.

The best bang for your buck. Very cute place, helpful friendly staff, cheaper than other hotels in the area.

The property was very clean. No soap in shower, we used hand soap. TV remote was hard to operate

Only improvements are 1/ to have an ice maker working in both hotel buildings and 2/ also a laundry facility in both buildings. This location is fantastic! So close to UVA, a Bodo’s Bagels, hiking, disc golf.

The only complaint I had was the bed was too firm for me but that is subjective so I would still say great and will definitely stay here again if I’m ever in Charlottesville!

We had a great stay. The hotel was updated since we last visited, and the room was lovely. Of course, the huge pool is nice, and the breakfast is much improved. A real value!

I think it’s a very nice place to stay. It would be good for families with children or pets. All are welcomed. They have a very nice breakfast buffet. The employees and manager or very helpful. In fact this is the only hotel that I have seen a manager attend to a guest‘s needs instead of sending an employee to take care of the guess’s need.

Exceptional

Great location, good breakfast spread. Pool and gym. Bed was comfortable. Very close to the main mall and the famous bagel shop right by the hotel. Room is not cleaned daily. In response, we were told that cleaning service was on alternate days but the beds were not made for 4 days in a row, only the bathroom was cleaned.

Comfortable bed, delicious prepared breakfast served daily. Construction noise from a roofing replacement project close to our room. Pool and workout area were closed due to the roof replacement work.
