Great location, staff was very attentive and we loved the sweet treats!

Great location. Nice museum and restaurant. Breakfast was just whole fruit and pastries. It was clean and safe but secure your items-they threw away one of our bags that contained items we wanted to keep that was sitting on the desk /not in the trash can.

Staff was not helpful. Bartenders were rude at the Rooftop bar. Bed was not comfortable and the room smelled musky. Room and Valet service was too expensive. Only bonus was the nice location to waterfront and walkable to other places.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

Awesome stay!! Beautiful property. Very friendly staff. Definitely stay there again.

Great location!! My room was large with great windows. Very comfortable bed and furnishings. It would be nice to have a mini fridge in the rooms. Rooftop bar and elevator are starting to show their age. A possible freshening might be nice. Not having a main desk for check-in/check out/general questions may not be the best impression. I had to wait to check until the one person who was walking around with a laptop was finished checking in the guests before me. He also escorted them to the elevator and showed them around while I waited. No one offered to help with luggage to my room etc. Also, they encourage you to text for any questions or problems that arise but they’re very long to respond to text. I think a more traditional way to communicate with guests would be helpful (and more professional) in addition to a main desk with someone always there if there is a question or need. It felt short staffed.

Beautiful historic hotel. Showcasing great modern art. Walking distance to everything. Highly recommend.

The parking was the only complaint but we knew ahead of time. Only valet. We had to call ahead for the car and it took a bit

We arrived and checked into our room. It smelled musty and the air vents looked like they could use some cleaning. I would recommend to the hotel to check air filters, and vents especially for the price you pay. However, the staff there were exceptional and upgraded us to a better room at no cost and this room was perfect, no smells. Nicholas was wonderful and took care of all our needs during our stay. He is what made it so enjoyable. He went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. Thank you Nicholas!!! The hotel is in a great location, and such a fun stay! Highly recommend!

perfect stay

An exceptionally unique stay in the thick of things in Charleston, SC! Beautiful, clean, waterfront, with an excellent staff willing to help with any need. The unique thing about this artsy hotel is that it has a sister property right across the street called the Enclave. Each property is uniquely curated with art from local artists. I was surrounded by amazing restaurants and steps away from the renowned City Market! Parking was &49 a night. Other than that, the stay was perfect!

In all honesty this would have been 5 stars if downstairs would have been cleaner ! The lobby wasn’t clean like the rooms. The chairs were dusty and where all the art is in the cabinets were all thick with dust. For it to be an art hotel I would have expected it to have a museum level of cleaning.

Lovely, bright, welcoming. Cool art on display throughout the lobby, hallways and rooms. Staff from reception to valet to housekeeping were exceptionally friendly, welcoming and seeking to make our stay very enjoyable. Loved the welcoming drink, turndown service, pastries and fruit delivered to our door each morning. coffee in the lobby and complimentary bikes with wicker baskets. We’ll be back!! Room and bathrooms a teeny bit small but very comfortable.
