Close to CLD…. Breakfast was awesome

Quiet location enjoyed stay

The room was clean, the ac was perfect 👌. They have a pool, you can walk to The Landings Restaurant across the street. I would definitely stay here again.

This worked perfectly for our trip for Legoland. The Legoland park was about 10mins away, and this hotel gave us a great location to restaurants, shopping, and multiple beaches as well. We really enjoyed the breakfast daily with quality options. The bed was comfy and clean, and the room felt quiet and peaceful. Free parking was a huge plus when looking at choosing here, and we felt safe at all times. The staff was great when we needed towels and went above and beyond by recommending local things to go see on our first night when checking in, such as restaurants and a local farmer's market going on. The bathroom was decent and did the job, but not the fanciest or most up to date in terms of needing a refresh esthetically. We would absolutely stay here again!

We loved our stay

The room and property are nice. It’s unfortunate that the complimentary breakfast has gone downhill. The choices aren’t great. It’s always the same thing Sunday mornings; sausage and it’s not the breakfast sausage. The breakfast isn’t very good anymore

I wish they cleaned the room every day but there was a note that said they clean it every other day I just didn’t notice it u til after so part of that was my fault but everything else was great.

Mattress springs were shot

I have stayed at several of the mid-range priced hotels in the Carlsbad area and the Hampton Inn is my top choice. My room was immaculate and all of the regular amenities were available, but what was above and beyond was the hot breakfast and a very comfortable bed, a very quiet room, and top-notch air conditioning on a very warm day in SoCal. I got a wonderful night’s sleep and love the noon checkout time so I’m not so rushed in the morning. Five stars all around!

The staff was exceptional, very professional and friendly. I was sitting alone in the lobby waiting for family and without even asking, the young lady at the counter brought me a cold water…very much appreciated. The free breakfast was very good, lots of choices, both hot and cold. As far as the room, it was clean, however, the bed felt hard, they should give you an extra blanket, there is only a cover sheet and one blanket. The TV does not give you many choices. Because the hotel is right by the airport, it can be loud. When the air conditioning goes from cold to warm, there is a chemical type of smell, perhaps the vent needs cleaning. Our room was next to the elevator which made it noisy so it you have a choice, ask to be far from the elevator. For the price of the room, I feel we could find something more to our liking. My family and I enjoyed our stay at the Hampton Inn Carlsbad. Staff was great! Very friendly and took extra steps to make sure we were happy. They gave great suggestions on restaurants and places to visit. Hotel was clean, good breakfast. Would stay again!

It was good in every aspect and I liked that it was close to Legoland. I Would stay again in the future.

Breakfast is good . Room is clean but you have to request room service every time to get your room clean

We have stayed here on several occasions over the past 10 years or so. The property is truly a hidden gem! We’ve used it for Legoland trips and hockey tournaments due to the property being minutes away from both locations. Staff is always super friendly and helpful, we love the breakfast they put out. It’s a large selection of hot and cold items. The beds are soft and comfortable, rooms are quiet and have been updated with nice, modern touches. It’s across from the McClellan-Palomar airport, but we barely heard even the loudest of jets. Overall we had another fantastic stay and will be back again!

Good breakfast, excellent staff service! Room had a musty smell whenever the AC kicked in.
