Irving House At Harvard

My wife thought the breakfast options were a bit limited (no breakfast meats or cold cuts), but it was perfectly fine with me.

Noisy - creaking floors Great quaint lovey & cozy. Looks like an old apartment/complex. Each floor has 2 bathroom. A One half one & a shower one. Enjoyed the mini egg quiches.

Cool historic building; very clean; right next to Harvard campus and a short walk to Harvard square. The breakfast was a little mid, but overall I would definitely stay here again.

I’d say this is a cross between a Hostel and. B & B. It was quiet, clean, and quaint. Nice area with a great bakery down the street

For the price the private room was good, and the breakfast is better than many places around the BRB.

Very comfortable room, breakfast, location, New Yorker magazines wall outlets no longer grip plugs, so chargers try to fall out.

My fourth floor room was charming and the breakfast was fantastic.

This is a very old property and though it's well-maintained, it feels like nothing (furniture etc.) has been replaced in years. The bathroom was cleaned after check-out, but I don't think they consistently check it. More of a higher quality hostel than a hotel, which wasn't what I was expected. The walls are quite thin which was fine in the evening because the hotel was quiet but early risers next door talking at only a slightly higher level than normal woke me up with my earplugs in. The staff was incredibly helpful and kind, even though initially I'd been charged the wrong price and it ended up being more (maybe because of the world cup). In general, the room was clean and comfortable and had the necessities. The coffee, tea, and cookies was a nice touch. There was a fridge to store food and the breakfast had a lot of options. They had space to hang out and somewhere to keep luggage after check-out when I came back in the afternoon to wait for my flight. Stay was good.

Very good location about 15 minutes from Fenway Park. Harvard is right there. The room was small but clean. Overall a nice spot.

Breakfast included was a great option - not fancy, but comprehensive fare. The mattress on my bed (room 313) needs replacement. It felt like sleeping in a hammock - completely bowed in the middle/Center, so I had a quite uncomfortable night.

Just a heads up: Rooms and bathrooms are smaller compared to regular chain hotels. If you don’t mind that this is an excellent place to stay.

This is my third time staying here in the past year. Is a great value, location, breakfast and staff.
