The Boxboro Regency

While our room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the property remained quiet, the overall facility is in a severe state of disrepair. The hallway carpets have paint stains, the railings are chipped, furniture is gouged, woodwork has chunks missing, and sections of the hallway walls are covered in paper held together by painter’s tape. The lobby and pool area are in better shape, but the common areas desperately need maintenance. Additionally, despite advertising a smoke-free policy, someone on the floor below was smoking marijuana. As someone with a severe allergy, this was a significant issue. The checkout staff was friendly and empathetic when I reported it, but it was too late to resolve the situation during my stay.

Everything was great except the structure. The structure is very old.

Good hotel with spacious parking, clean rooms, and a nice pool. It’s just too bad no one came to replace the bathroom towels between our two nights.

The dining room was open late on arrival and that was great. Staff were very kind. The rooms are comfortable enough and generally clean. The location is convenient. Refrigerator with a freezers section in the room was awesome. Plenty of easy parking, ice and my dog was very comfortable there. The room rate was fabulous The hallway carpets were worn and appeared to be wet from a leak of some sort. Many of the interior hall walls are pretty beat up. In general it could use some refreshing.

It is an older hotel, but well maintained. The attached restaurant has great food and service. The hotel staff is excellent

Location was perfect for where I needed to be, the hotel is on a wooded area not on top of a highway, and best of all it was SUPER quiet. No kids running in the hallway, no slamming doors. Room was comfortable and clean. I did not understand that the room would not be refreshed - bed made, new replacement towels, cups, kleenex, etc. Never have stayed in a hotel where this was not done automatically. I was shocked when I returned to my room to find that nothing had been touched. I had even left a thank you note with $5 tip when I left that morning. On checkout the clerk showed me the wording on the information sheet that said basically no housekeeping unless requested. I had checked in very late and did not read these instructions...why would I? It should have been made clear verbally and also when I made the reservation. In retrospect I got what I paid for. Would still have stayed with you but would have known ahead of time what to expect. The other bummer was the ice machines on both floors were out of order. Again, a sign at the front desk would have been helpful.

The bed mattress I could tell had been around a while, and it’s the first room door that I have seen that still uses the chain lock. Plus- my wife loved it had a nice tub and plenty of predictable hot water. It was an ok place to spend the night. We did not have time to check out the pool or dining room/bar

Fantastic staff at check in and ESP at the restaurant. Comfortable room Access to the room was less than ideal

The hotel is a hidden gem! We will definitely being going back soon.

Bathroom needs update tub all discolored air conditioner did not work properly

We needed to be in Boxborough for an event, and this hotel was best located for that. The room and amenities were adequate given the price. The property with our room felt older, and probably hasn't been updated in a while.

Roach infestation and piles of dry white powder - probably poison, all over bedroom

Staff cleaning Philippine lady sarcastic over a simple question. I stayed in the first floor the carpet was wet and moldy looking not to talk about the carpet design it’s just ugly. The ice machine don’t work. Microwave isn’t accessible in room only in lobby other than a few things though the overall the indoor area was beautiful and the pool was one of the best pools I’ve seen at a hotel with a nice ambiance.
