Very nice clean property and room

Quick stop before traveling to Maine.

Stairwell needs cleaning, but very comfortable and good value for the price.

We booked for two nights at this hotel and our experiences were mixed. The free EV charging station was the best and it was convenient and right onsite. Breakfast was good. However, the hotel needed a lot of improvements in maintenance, the ice machine was out of order so we had to go to the nearby store to get ice, we saw a cockroach in the bathroom and a piece of tile was missing on the shower wall. Apparently this hotel has been operated by different names, it was Best Western, now it’s New Englander, and soon it will be Quality Inn. We hope that it will correct those areas mentioned above so that it will offer better service in future.

The New Englander Inn was in transition from being a Quality Inn to, I'm guessing, an independent motel. Our room was a suite, and was comfortable. The pool was closed. The ice machine was "Out of Order." there was only one for the whole complex. Our fridge would not open and shut properly, but was fixed right away. Our microwave had to be replaced since it sounded as though it was going to explode. The overhead light fixture in the hallway was filled with dead bugs. I think they are on the right track to making this a nice place - it's going to take a lot of attention to detail to get it up to a "Good" status. The breakfast was typical for a motel and pretty good with lots of items. For what we needed (just one night), it was fine.

I only slept there at night due to warking at a pop up clinic, but it was comfortable, quiet , and close to everything. It is dated motel feel but clean. Everyone was very helpful.

The staff was attentive and competent

I cannot tolerate staind and dirty bedding. I put my sleeping bag on top of the well worn bed. The property is apparently transitioning from quality inn to choice. It shows. Just not clean. It is absolutely ridiculous for the price. I just slept best I could and left. This is the second crappy place in Vermont that I stayed at. State needs to implement some standards. Almost $200 for this place.

Tried to cancel but was charged anyway

This hotel is nestled into between two mountain ranges that are beautiful before sunset as you see the sunrise on the eastern mountain side and being able to see the sunset on the western mountain side a lot of history in the town very safe very convenient to all the things that are needed during the day. Walmart and gasoline in a car wash are very convenient. The issues with the facility was staff doing the breakfast have no idea that you can use the cooking spray on the waffle iron and he tried to hide it while us customers knew where it was to spray the waffle iron second, there was hardly any food whatsoever. It was never restocked was just poorly maintained could be a really nice place to set up a nice breakfast for people that are staying there? The pool was not even accessible. They can’t even keep maintenance on it to keep it clean and clear and so I would like a partial refund because that’s what we came there for was to be able to utilize the pool after we were done for our day activities whether we were hiking or going around a certain parks in the area it was really disappointing. I think it’s under new ownership? And I hope the new ownership will renovate that place to make it look immaculate and make it look great again Maga.

Property was fine. The pool was out of order. Breakfast was okay.

The room was very clean. Beds comfortable but bed frame was metal and made loud noise sometimes while on the bed. Staff was great. Pool closed and ice machine broken. Breakfast was good. Picnic table area was dirty from smokers who didn't bother to use the 2 ash trays there.

Was traveling and needed a room for the night. Found this little gem. Decent price, clean room and breakfast was good. Staff were friendly.

The breakfast was excellent, a good variety of selections Our dinner was very good, a few additional options would be nice

Room was very clean. It was helpful to have a microwave and refrigerator in the room. The air conditioner was extremely loud and made it difficult to get to sleep. The bathroom fan was attached to the bathroom light so that using the bathroom at night also required having a loud fan noise. We couldn’t get the little coffee maker in the room to work properly.

Nothing they could not find our reservation and had no available rooms. we booked and paid this reservation in advance and when we got to the facility they did not have any evidence of our reservation. Booking could not help us and the hotel was full. We were left to find alternative accomodations which was very difficult to find on a Saturday evening in the middle of tourist season. We are not sure if this was the hotel who decided they could get more money from another customer or that Booking messed up.

The room itself was decent. The grounds and the property were very much unkept. I only stay two nights out of the three can somebody from Expedia please get back to me about getting a refund for the last night

Pool closed. Ice machine broken. Didn't bother with breakfast -- I knew it would be bad. Should've been 1/2 of what they charge.
