The Driskill, in The Unbound Collection by Hyatt

If you go to the Driskill, you will be treated like royalty. Doormen are always there to assist. You have bags, they have hands. You will never touch the front door of the hotel as they will be there for you. While the building is historic, the inside has been maintained so that you have the old world feeling with new furniture that is richly textured and fresh. Nothing I saw looked worn out. There was a steamer and an iron for my clothing. We were greeted at check in by charming and friendly staff and then received a complimentary beverage and snack. The only thing to consider is a hefty price for parking your vehicle overnight. While high, that price is consistent for downtown Austin.

Staff is attentive, especially at front desk and in the cafe. The hotel is quite old & historic and that provides a lot of charm. The recent work to the facility is a positive. The rooms are nice even given the limitations given age of architecture. Just wish the city would clean up their streets as 6th street location puts you in center of homeless/drug problem. This property scores quite high in terms of value and I would stay here again.

The Driskill Hotel is absolutely beautiful and stunning! Perfect place to celebrate a birthday as the hotel is right on 6th Street! The hotel is iconic for its art, architecture, and history. Everywhere you walk is a walk through history! Highly recommended! All the staff were extremely welcoming and helpful.

The location is excellent, right in the heart of downtown Austin and within easy walking distance of restaurants, shops, entertainment, and many of the city’s attractions. It made exploring Austin incredibly convenient. The staff were also a highlight of our stay. Everyone we encountered was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful, making us feel well taken care of throughout our visit. If you appreciate historic hotels with character, an unbeatable downtown location, and excellent hospitality, The Driskill is definitely worth experiencing. We would happily stay here again on our next visit to Austin!

I reserved 4 room for my consultants trading from out of state. I live here in Austin. They were totally impressed with the rooms, the service, the meeting room. Very happy! Can’t think of a thing.

Excellent in every way! Exceeded our expectations

Beautiful hotel, amazing staff, great amenities with the coffee shop and bar on premise. We did not venture into the restaurant. Everyone was very helpful and friendly and we really enjoyed our stay.

Everyone was extremely helpful, polite, and nice! They kept the hotel and our room spotless. Definitely made a difference in our stay. I only wish there was a historical tour of the hotel.

We were looking for a night to spend our wedding night and the hotel definitely made us feel special! Can’t recommend this hotel enough, the staff was really sweet and amazing. Anyways the hotel it’s beautiful, lots of great places to take pictures

Second time I've stayed here and it was awesome as always! Super nice, historical, fun atmosphere, and excellent staff and service! Can't wait for the next time! No ghosts this visit though.
