Highliner Hotel was just perfect for our one night stay in Anchorage. The place was very clean and in a good part of town very walkable to nice restaurants and breweries. The bed and pillows were the excellent, incredibly comfortable. Would highly recommend. Just the quaint vibe we were looking for.

Very basic amenities. Room was nice size.
-
Staff was ver responsive but room was quite warm
-
Really pleased with this hotel!
-
Small though very clean and well maintained room and bath. There’s not an elevator, and we enjoyed our stay once we got up the stairs.
-
No elevator l. Carry your luggage up the stairs

The hotel is right in the downtown Anchorage neighborhood. So it was pretty easy to go basically anywhere. You can walk anyplace downtown, and easily drive everywhere else in the city. Bed was pretty comfortable. Shower could be a little better, I would say it is an OK shower but a better one would have made our stay more pleasant.

Exceptional

Self check-in saved a lot of hassle.

Original room was having dripping issues. When I went to go into it, I was locked out. The hotel decided to change my room because of the dripping without telling me. That is ok, but…they changed me to a different hotel that was over a mile away. Had to order a second ride to get there and was a bit cranky as it was 11 pm. The second hotel was not close to the preferred location of the hotel we booked. Thus, the entire next day was not walkable and we had to order several more rides we weren’t expecting. A real “miss” by the decision makers and a complete whiff on communication.

Never saw a soul - staff or customers in our overnight stay. Near some good shops and restaurants

It was clean and easy check in with door codes provided prior to arrival. Convenient location with parking in the back. It served the purpose of a night stay getting late into Anchorage before heading to Denali. The mattress was VERY soft and the room was VERY small.
-
Very small boutique hotel. Not fancy but clean and comfortable. It was convenient for picking up the motorcoach at the Dena'ina Civic Center.
-
Location ok. Staff friendly. Room not ready at stated time. Kept luggage secure. No elevator so had to carry big heavy luggage up stairs. Room large, clean but dated. Unable to get tv to work.
-
location is fair infront/behind medical clinic..rooms are as basic as it gets with little dollars spent and sink and shower that dont drain ..our friemds had far better elsewhere properly
-
Clean and comfortable although room was small.
-
Easy check in and clean room

For the price we paid, I expected the room to be better equipped for a comfortable night’s sleep. Since it stays bright so late into the evening, proper blackout curtains that actually block out the light are really important. Unfortunately, the room remained very bright, which made it difficult for us to sleep. Additionally, since there is no air conditioning, a stronger and more effective fan or ventilation system would make a significant difference in keeping the room comfortable. The coffee snack shop was convenient.
-
Very clean and up to date. Large room, large tv and many channels.
-
Otherwise - this place was a quirky, relatively economical option that would have been fine for a 1 night stay. There's no staff - you just let yourself in w a door code. The bathroom was dated with older caulking that makes a place feel a little run down.
