TownePlace Suites by Marriott Alexandria Fort Belvoir

I recently stayed at this hotel for almost a week for work. I can't say enough great things about it. Room immaculate. Free breakfast divine but would love if they served it till later like 9:30 or 10 am since I slept in on my day off and missed breakfast. I also wish breakfast started at 6 am since it takes me an hour to drive to work because the traffic is so bad. The room was spacious and gave me everything I needed for my week away from home. The pool was fabulous and so relaxing!!! I am definitely coming back.

The property was fine; however, I was very displeased on the service. We (2 adults and a 14 year old) stayed at the property for a weekend to visit Mt. Vernon. While traveling, I always stay at the higher end hotel (Marriott, Hyatt, etc.) bc I enjoy the cleanliness, amenities and service. We could have stayed at a plethora of hotels/motels in the area, but chose this one. The next morning after staying, we left early for the day and retired around 6:30-7:00pm. While leaving at 9am, housekeeping and a Supervisor were in the hall next to our room. As a courtesy, I greeted them good morning and let them know we were leaving for the day and that our room was available to service and clean (which really only needed towels). Imagine our surprise to come back at night and not having the room tidied up and see the towels we left on the bathroom floor still there. I then went down to the front desk to let them know that our room must’ve been missed and we needed towels for the month at this time, I was told by the front desk girl that our room doesn’t get serviced because we are staying only two nights. She stated that the only rooms that get cleaned by the housekeeping are for people who stay three nights or longer. I’ve never heard of this, but then requested to get more towels for our showers in the morning. I choose high end hotels for good service-the hotel charges high end rates, but doesn’t provide the high-end service. This is the last time we stay at this hotel. Sorry!

We came here to spend our anniversary. We are from out of town and it was a bunch of kids running back and forth yelling all night on Friday then at 1:30am they kept coming to our room and knocking on the door this was a scary situation as we are not from here and it’s well after Midnight. We went to the front desk and the clerk stated they had others complaining about them also so she called and went up there but the very next morning they held up the elevators all day long playing on them so we had to use the stairs the rest of the trip and while using the stairs we were confronted by the kids and their mother as she proceeded to cuss us out we felt very uncomfortable and unsafe and our anniversary was ruined I will be contacting the corporate office and speaking to an attorney.

This place was very relaxing, great atmosphere, great amenities. Great staff! I will definitely recommend this place to everyone.

The ac didn’t work in the suite I originally booked, so I was downgraded to a jr suite without any sort of reimbursement. Location was decent.

Hotel was very clean, updated and quiet. Breakfast had a large variety of options. The kid enjoyed the pool.

No hot water in room and didn't discover until morning shower. No maintenance on hand to repair.

It was a really nice stay. The room was comfortable and offered more amenities than what we needed, (large refrigerator, sink, roomy cabinets). The bathroom was spacious and clean, and we were able to brin FB our dog which helped us save money for not having to board her back home.
